I am a mother of two girls ages are 11 and 17. I am 36 years old and married to a Air Force man, he is currently stationed at the Pentagon in Washington DC. I am originally from Colorado and was born and raised there, love it and miss it. Since I am now married to a military man I have moved around quite a bit. My husband and I have been married for 12 years now and our Anniversary is June 21st, the first day of summer.

I absolutely love arts and crafts, I love creating new things and working with paper, stickers, pain, glue, glitter, you name it and I love it. I have tried a little sewing, I actually made a few Halloween costumes for my kids and made a poodle skirt for myself. I was suprised at how they came out, not bad fora newbie!

I am a Christian and have been since I was 7 years old.

Steampunk Jewelry - Just started collecting this, wish I could make my own, but love the look and old fashioned quality

Purses - I love hand sewn purses or scarves or anything that was hand sewn, buttons, sparkle whatever

Hello!

My name is Wendy, nice to meet you =) I see your husband is stationed at the Pentagon, I guess that means you are living in the DC area now. I grew up in Rockville, MD. My parents still live there and one of my younger sisters lives in the Dupont Circle area. DC is a great city but it wasn't really for me, so I came out here to Arizona for college and have stayed. I do miss Maryland sometimes, especially in the spring and fall. We don't really get seasons here, we get two times in Arizona: "Hot" and "REALLY Hot" =)

CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss and fitness! That's amazing that you started out 60 pounds over your target weight and are now running 5ks. I wish I could do that. My body just isn't cooperating with me though.

You list "Blink" as one of your favorite books-- is that the one by Malcom Gladwell? I really liked that too, as well as "The Tipping Point". If you haven't read that yet, you might want to check it out. It's very interesting.

Well before I leave you a whole novel here, I will say goodbye and just leave you this sparkly blue fairy =)

I too want to say congradulations on the weightloss, comming from someone who has been battling her weight since I was 8 I know its a lifelong issue. We have a few things in common actually my husband is ex-army, I love tea cups and tea party's :) "To Kill a Mocking Bird" is among my favorite books and I love lillys.
