Hi, I'm Linda! I'm a 27 year old stay at home wife and mommy, living in the Netherlands. I have a wonderful husband, a six year old girl, a two year old boy and a 'bun in the oven', who is to be joining us in April ;)
I have a small online business in making wedding favours - the classic (and more modern) Italian kind. If you're any good at reading Dutch (or looking at pictures!) then have a look :)
I'm a born again Christian who loves the Lord with all her might. I hate putting labels on people, but I guess we would classify as Calvinists or Dutch Reformed. (Main difference with evangelical being the doctrine of predestination)
Me and my daughter love trying anything crafty! Paper is my friend, but fabric tends to have its own will around me.... lol We absolutely love scrapbooking, making cards and really every other paper craft..
I have a crazy admiration for anything 1800-1900's, including old fashioned homemaking. Therefore, I also LOVE paintings in the style of Anton Pieck (see below!) and anything that has a 'Charles Dickens' feel to it. Maybe I'm living in the wrong era, hehe..
I don't have a TV and I choose not to listen to or read the news. I also love things that other people would call 'childish', such as faerie tales (like those from Andersson or the Grimm brothers) elves, gnomes and anything Victorian. Yeah, I live in a fantasy world. (and yeah, I'd like to keep it that way, lol)
I have a collection of 'Alice in Wonderland' books. Mostly different prints in Dutch and English, but also some of other languages. If you have one to spare in your own language (particularly looking for Asian and African ones!) I'd love to do a private swap! :)
Everything I send comes from a smoke-and-pet-free home!
Anything by Michael Jackson & Bob Marley
Old fashioned hymns
(try to combine the above.. hahaha)
The Bible!
Alice in wonderland (Lewis Carroll)
Anything by Charles Dickens
Nourishing traditions (Sally Fallon)
Alice in Wonderland
Anything Victorian
Old papers & ephemera
Postage stamps (esp. older ones!)
Steampunk!
All paper crafts and their necessities
Tim Holtz design (or anything resembling it)
Autumn & Winter
Cooking & Baking (a lot!)
Faerie tales
Tea & everything related
Foreign food & candy (USA is foreign to me, lol)
Strange creatures like elves and gnomes (only cute, not scary ones!)
Hot chocolate
Handwritten letters
Anything homemade
and sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping ;)
As Sting stated: I don't drink coffee, I take tea, my dear ;)
Sewing and other crafts involving fabric (to do myself - but feel free to send me something YOU'VE made with fabric!)
Buddhist, pagan or wicca stuff
Catholic icons
Disney movies / princesses
SpongeBob / Dora / etc.
Flakers and other mean people
And that's it! :D
I sign up for a lot of tea swaps because... (surprise, lol) I love tea! You can NOT make me unhappy with ANY sort of tea - black, green or herbal - I love all types and I have no allergies whatsoever. Every type is welcome!
That said, I do have a slight preference for black tea and anything made by the British brand 'Twinings' (which -unfortunately- we're not able to buy here). So instant hearts if there's a teabag made by them in any of your swaps ;)
I love to do private swaps, so if you're interested - please send me a message! No matter how much I love the idea of a 'round swap', like most Swap-bot swaps.. there's something special about SENDING TO and RECEIVING FROM the same person and so building up a friendship! :)
I'd love to do private swaps for edibles, tea or just crafty things!

Thanks so much for the information, I really appreciate it. I might try that soon.
I really like the "Kids art for 5 - 10 year olds" swap, but my kids are older than that and still very interested in participating. Do you know of any for older kids like this one? The age group that I need would include 11-13 year olds. If you don't know of any, would you be willing to create one. If not, would you mind if I set one up similar to yours (after I get a little more familiar with the site - I am still to new to try that).
Thanks ~ Debbie
Thank you for joining my swap Give a Piece of Your Heart! I loved reading your Profile and you appear to be a great swapper! I also love Victorian things. :)
You are welcome at the art journal page swap
