I am an elementary school art teacher in Sunny Las Vegas, Nevada. I do all forms of art with them and love to venture off into creative diversions of my own. I look for simple ideas that can be maxed out into super creative art forms so that I can teach it to young kids and they can push the idea as far as they are capable or interested. 44 (I think I counted right) Happily married, 2 grown amazing step-sons, 2 wonderful grandsons.

Survive my 700 elementary aged art students! LOL…which really is a feat considering I get 43 six-year-olds with no assistance! Oh, the messes we make…and oh, my poor back! LOL My other goal is to get the house organized by Thanksgiving….!!! I’m halfway there! Wooo HOOOOOO!!!!!! Oct. 31 is a state Holiday here in Nevada….Nevada Day…and you thought it was Halloween! So between a kazillion swaps….I plan on really making time in our basement clutter! (keeping fingers crossed).

Flip flop Motifs, the beach....specifically Hawaii, Martini's, MaiTai's, golf Beagles, Crocs, Jibbitz, sequins, Vintage Buttons, art teacher stuff, summer break!!! WINTER BREAK!!!!. Dislikes: Candles, Embroidery Thread, Glitter (ok…I do like glitter..I don’t like unruley glitter!!), hard candy, teacher stickers (like good work! I have stamps for these..I grade too much stuff to sticker them all!!) grumpy people, liver ewww. Things I could use right now: Always can use fun jibbitz, flower stickers, not too child-like stickers (to put on bar mail as a fun greeting to my friends), ooh martini/drink stickers ARE cool, hmmm...not much I need but I love surprises!

Bright Jewel colors-- all of them….you know, the deep rich colors when you look into precious stones… Colors of the sea, peacock colors…. Color schemes with dramatic contrast...black and white, Hot pink and black...I guess hot anything and black….lol

Print making, (I really wantED to set up my own studio in the basement this summer—NOW I CAN SHOOT FOR NEXT SUMMER!), Zentangles, Watercolor, I love to sew but never find the time...have sewing machine, serger and an embroidery sewing machine (new 2 YEARS ago still in the box lol)...but don’t find the time! I have so much art stuff it’s mind boggling…(art teacher here.) I love new ideas in craft/art (which is why I keep adding to my unRULey supply). I keep thinking I will do my own scrapbooking...yeah..when. I have all the materials and fancy machines and books and papers and...well...everything. Not a page to be seen. LOL One day. Maybe when I’m less cluttered.

I do love cats...but my hubbie is allergic to the real thing. Instead, I have the amazing beagle brothers. My babies. They’re 10 now and fat and lazy.
I love animals...took a trip to the San Francisco Zoo just to take pictures as resources for teaching. Giraffes, Elephants, Monkeys..wonderful. Oh and SEA LIONS..rock.

Metals. I only wear 14K or more gold and silver. Even watch heads set me off. Swatches are perfect for me. Some hypoallergenic things..but not all. Its a lot of trial and error with that for me. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry though, even though I have a lot and like to make it. Penicillin...lol, please don’t send any of that! (LIVER)

Love Dean Koontz. Michael Crichton. Early John Grisham..not so much his later stuff. Craft books (I have an insane collection.) I’m a magazine-a-holic. Favorite magazine: More (for women over 40) I do like In Style...but I try to only get it every other month...seriously...these magazines have taken over.

All time favorite and most watched: Pretty woman. Next: While you were sleeping. I love Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock. LOVE LOVE LOVE Pearce Brosnan—all the way back from the early 80’s. I was a star wars fanatic when I was a teen and the first movie was out...but not so much now. E.T. and Close Encounters are my retro faves. I like a good chick flick...but usually watch action movies with the husband.

Favorite TV Of course, from the past...Remington Steele. Hogans Heroes, MASH. Current: Survivor (that’s family night at our house...everyone gathers), The Amazing Race, CSI (Vegas first, then Miami...occasionally New York). N3mbers, Criminal Minds, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. Deserving Designs, and Color Splash.

I listen to current country….not twangy country. I love old time rock and roll. Love jazz, blues, Michael Buble, Diana Krall, Norah Jones type stuff. I love, love, love, Celine Dion. Have all of her stuff..met her, hung out at a party she threw...too much fun, what a nice person. Josh Groban...So I guess I like ballady type music too. Pretty eclectic.

Don’t like hard rap...but I will listen to some lighter versions….like I liked the Eminem/Elton John duet they did together, some of TLC, some of Mary J Blige...you know Bing Crosby and his son rapped together !!! Don’t like too many swear words in the music.

I try to keep most of my music kid appropriate so I don’t have to worry about playing it at school….but I do have a separate play list when I’m there from when I’m at home or at the bar. I really like PUTUMAYO brand music for school. (putumayo.com) very cool and kid friendly.

Other things I’m into: My husband is a golf fanatic. We have a real driving range in the front room. Big net...he hits real golf balls whenever he wants (hopefully not when I’m sleeping.) So we have a lot of golf themed stuff and our bars tends to be golf themed. We own a bar. Have owned 3. I do a lot for that too. The data analysis, mailers, computer fixing and I’m the Master Hypemeister...the rah rah girl.

I love spending time in the Jacuzzi at night. A glass of wine and mello music looking at the stars. So spa stuff is cool.

I love Crocs...and NOW have cool jibbitz thanks to my friends here! JIBBITZ ALWAYS WELCOME :) (size 8 1/4 lol) Crocs are soooo comfortable...and I can even run in them when called upon to do that at school. (You never know when a game of duck duck goose will happen!) And now they even have dressy crocs...so I cleaned out my closet of old high heels that are way too uncomfortable...and have my trusty crocs now!!
