I married my bestfriend 4 years ago. While on our honeymoon, he grabbed 3-4 brochures from everywhere we went. On the third day, I asked him what he was doing with so many brochures and maps (he was also keeping parking stubs, trolley tickets, movie stubs, etc). His response was so simple..... "For our scrapbook".
I had never done a scrapbook before, and I had no idea where to begin. I started researching it online and put together a very nice scrapbook. I was surprised.
After 2 years, I found a scrapbook group in my area and I am now one of the teachers. I am there every Friday, and I teach the new members how to use their tools and the basics of scrapbooking.
I have personally moved on from basic scrapbooking and expanded my artistic talents. I specialize in Memory Books, Folded Books, Acordian Books, Tags, Bookmarks, and Cards.
I would love to start making ATC's and trading them. I believe it would be a great way to practice techniques on a smaller scale and to receive inspiration at the same time.
The most important thing is: my favorite color is yellow.

I like turtles, fantasy, art, hot air baloons, dragonflys, fairies, flags, roosters, daisies, older cartoons, vintage, snowmen, snowflakes and the 20's.
I have started collecting pins from places I have been.
My favorite actor is Nicolas Cage. My favorite classic actress is Elizabeth Taylor. My favorite modern actress is Drew Barrymore.
I do not know what I like to receive the most yet...so help me find out and lets be creative.
I love to read, but I do not always have the time for it. My favorite book has always been 'Great Expectations'. I read it as a child and fell in love with it. I try to read it at least one time every 2 years.
I prefer to read series, but I will read just about anything (including the back of shampoo bottles...lol).
If I like a movie, I will go buy the book. There is always so much more information in the books.
I am in love with the classics. Anything with Elizabeth Taylor is great. (The Taming of the Shrew was my favorite). I like Gone with the Wind, Auntie Mame, Yours, Mine and Ours (the original with Lucille Ball). These movies remind me of the times I would spend with my grandma.
I am not a 'chick flick' fan. I prefer action, drama and comedy. If it is a love story it had better be funny or action packed.
Steve Martin and Jerry Lewis are the best comedians of all time. Cinderfella and The Jerk are among my favorites.
I also like Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Making a Marvel Comic into a movie is NEVER a bad idea. LOL.
I am very easy to please.
I want to collect all kinds of ATC's.
I have also recently joined post card swaps and I do not have a preference yet. So, if you have a lot of goofy "touristy" type of post cards from your city or state and don't know what to do with them...I would love them.
I love to make memory books.
I am also experimenting with smashbooks. I have not figured it out yet...so if you have any ideas or advice, let me know. I may be too organized to "smash". UPDATE: I am still having trouble "smashing", but I am getting better.
I have just joined a quilters guild as of April 2013 I will be an official member. The first thing on my list, take a beginers course so I know what they are talking about.
Wish List:
How to (smash / alter books / journal) magazines or books.
Playing Cards: I am collecting unique or unusual playing cards to make a crazy deck. I am just begining, so any cards will help.
I collect BOX TOPS for my local school. If you have some and do not know what to do with them, send them to me and I will put them to good use. Thank you.
Please do not send:
I love chocolate...but I live in Oklahoma, which means it can get from 110 to 115 in July and August. I will have an envelope full of melted chocolate. Please do not send anything that can melt in extreme heat ( candy, candles, etc..). Thank you very much.
Ok...I am in love with post cards. I love naked postcards from your state or country. If you are in the same state I am (Oklahoma), send one from your town or city. If you need Oklahoma postcards and would like to trade, message me. Have a great day.
If you are sending postcards in an envelope, I prefer some non-touristy post cards so that I may use them in other swaps.
I do not like this part. If you find yourself on this list and want taken off, PM me. I always send a message before I rate a 1 and before I put you on this list.
