First off - I hate to sound cranky, but I am in A LOT of swaps for Christmas cards. I seem to keep getting cards that don't list the swap name and/or username! Instead of wasting my time sending individual messages to each person every time I receive one like this, I figured it'll be easier for me to post this. I rate my swaps the day I get them, so if you haven't gotten a rating from me, please contact me and tell me who you are, what card you sent, what swap it was for, and what your username is so that I can rate you. Otherwise, I will not rate (but will rate a 1 to anyone who I haven't received anything from later so I don't have to sort through the pile of 'unknowns' to figure out which each is for!).

For future swap partners, PLEASE include your username and swap name so your card won't end up in the unknown pile and you won't receive a 1 rating! I really want to rate everyone ASAP with a 5!

I'm a 38-year-old lesbian and single mom of a 19-year-old daughter living in Hilo, Hawaii. I have been penpalling/swapping fb's for around 25 years, swapping postcards for the last 10+ years and collecting shot glasses for 10+ years. I'm also a HUGE animal lover and currently have 3 cats at home - Maha`oi, Whiskers, and Hilahila.

I will rate as soon as I receive a swap. I'd appreciate if others do the same for me. I want the ratings, but more importantly, I want to make sure my swap has been received and didn't get lost in the mail. It's important to me that the other person gets what they should (in 20+ years, I've never had anyone say they were disappointed in a swap I sent or didn't receive it) so I want to know sooner rather than later if I need to resend.

Also, PLEASE be sure to write your username AND swap name. I'm currently on quite a few Christmas card swaps and have been getting a few that don't give me a clue what swap they are from or who they are, so I have no clue how to rate!

I ♥ the holidays, especially Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! I especially love the decorations (especially lights) and sending/receiving cards (I display all on my wall). I especially love snowy scenes (I know, I live in Hawai`i where we only get snow on a few mountains, but I love stormy rainy days as well and so no, we don't always have hot, sunny weather here!). Although I believe in God, I don't care for very religious cards.

Here's all the cards I have received as of Thanksgiving Day.Typically I have 5 or 6 rows from penpals, friends, and relatives, but it looks like there's going to be a lot more this year, thanks to Swap-bot, so I'll have to be a bit more creative figuring out how to display all of them!

Thanks to my new kitties, this year I'm having to do my entire tree in shatterproof ornaments! I figured it was the perfect excuse to finally buy new ornaments in black and red, something I've wanted for years, but now I can't find any black ornaments this year so it looks like a red tree this year!

Also, growing up, I always loved to watch the Flintstones Christmas specials (there's 2 of them) and the Yogi Bear specials. I no longer have cable so I can't watch them. Anyone know where I can find these 3 shows on DVD of VHS (for a decent price - I'm poor!)? If so, pleaselet me know. I'd love to get them so I can enjoy watching them this Christmas!

I like lots, but '80's heavy metal and contemporary Hawaiian are my favorites.

I love snail mail pen palling, swapping fb's, swapping postcards (I prefer them unwritten in an envelope if there's a choice) and other small souvenirs, watching movies, watching tv, Facebook, swimming, hiking, etc.

I collect shot glasses, postcards, US state quarters, shark items, Care Bears, My Melody items, etc.

I LOVE shot glasses and currently have 177 in my collection but I'd love more! I desperately need a Connecticut shot glass to finally complete my state shot glass collection!

I like regular-sized ones with a picture and name of a country, state, or city on it. I'm mainly looking for foreign (non-USA) ones, unless it's CT or of a city/zoo/aquarium. I also like some others, such as ones with sharks on them, lesbian ones, theme parks (esp. DISNEY!!), zoos/aquariums, and unique ones (I have a sake-shaped one and also a beer stein shaped one).

I desperately need lots of the 2009 and 2010 ones! They're nearly impossible to find here!

I love swapping fb's and excess is always welcome! I especially love established fb's.

NO moms only or kids fb's, though - my daughter is already 19! And no things like LB's, slams, lyrix, etc. I guess I have to elaborate on it since someone sent me some of these as 'extras' and thought it was perfectly okay. I don't swap them AT ALL and don't have any regular swappers to pass them to, so unless you want them sitting on my desk for months and months or even longer, if they're ever sent out, please be fair and don't send these. Although it's done, no owner wants fb's that are not completed or take years to be returned.

Most of my pen pals no longer seem to swap them, so I am always really low on them. I'd also love to find fb swappers!

I like making fb's, too, but I am so NOT creative. I try my best, though! I won't join HQ swaps because of it, but I think mine can be considered 'nice & neat', so I'll join those.

I collect postcards and love anything with maps or scenic (nature, famous buildings, etc.). I don't mind if people or animals are in it, but not if that's the main focal point (except for sharks, which I'll gladly take!). Also, no cartoon ones, paintings, vintage, homemade, etc. If it shows where you live or has sharks and it's store bought, I'll take it!

I'm ONLY interested in female snail mail pen pals who write long, chatty letters! It's even better if you swap fb's and/or postcards as well and I'd especially love to hear from other lesbians and/or moms of teens/young adults. It's not necessary, but you have to at least be LGBT-friendly and at least like kids and animals enough to hear me talk about them sometimes (my letters are not filled about only them).

If you write to me, you'll have to have a fully filled out profile and have to tell me something about yourself, or I won't respond. If I responded to everyone who said something like, "wanna be pen pals?" and didn't tell me anything about them, I'd probably have over 1,000 pen pals! I'm only interested in long-term, long letter pals who will become good friends, not just pen pals and you can't base that on knowing nothing of each other!

I'd be happy to do one-time private swaps with anyone who has good ratings. Please only contact me if you think we'll have things we can offer each other in a swap. I've been contacted in the past from people wanting something from where I live, but what they offer is nothing I like or collect! So please see above to see if you can actually offer me anything (of equal value to what you want) that I'll want before contacting me.
