I live about 1 mile from the ocean, in Northern California, and it may be the only thing that keeps me sane on most days.

I love to read...fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, you name it. When I'm not in the classroom, you will find me with my head in a book.

I worship the ground that my mom and sister walk on, they are my heroes in this life.

I love kitty cats, and they love me. I also love apes and monkeys, especially gorillas. And turtles. And birdies. And all of the incredible creatures on this planet.

I am a stationery hound...all things related to it -- stickers (especially stickers!), papers, envelopes, notepads, sticky pads, ALL of it. I especially love Monkichi (the OLD Sanrio monkey) but he's so hard to find anymore!

As for dislikes...pretty simple...I do NOT like clowns, most spiders, and preying mantises. And please don't send any religious items....I don't practice anything.

My favorite colors are blue and green...all shades. I also love reds and oranges. And black and white. I'm not huge on browns, but some of them are okay. Yellows and purples are nice in some tones.

I love jewelry with pretty colors and lovely glass beads. I prefer silver over gold. I have many holes in my ears.

Oh so many, as I'm a book hound. I like all genres, though sci-fi and fantasy are low on my list. I'm a huge fan of Alice Walker, Margaret Atwood, Barbara Kingsolver, Irvine Welsh, Milan Kundera, Albert Camus, Palahniuk, Kafka (though I don't know why I do that to myself!), Jared Diamond, Inga Muscio, De Waal, Goodall, the list goes on and on.

I cannot use candles or incense because I have asthma. As much as I LOVE the delicious aromas, the smoke kills my lungs and I'll cough for days.
