My name is Margaret Holzhauser. I live in a small country town on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. A town called Bega.A dairy, farming community.We own the famous Bega Cheese Factory and also The Cutting and Packaging Plant. The factories emply most of Bega people in some way. I am 60 years old, Born December 24 1948. That makes me a christmas Baby. I come from a family of 3 boys and 5 girls. All but 2 still live in Bega. It is a lovely lay back town. A good place to raise children, but when they leave school they move away as jobs are scarce. I have raised two boys. The eldest being Michael and the yougest being Darryl. They have made their homes in Brisbane and Townvielle. Michael has 4 children, 3 girls and one boy. Darryl has 3 , 2 girls and one boy. All are just lovely children. I married my chilhood sweetheart Ronald Holzhauser. I meet him when I was 13. My dad did not like it at the time but we are still together and as happy as ever. My soul mate. I went to the Bega Convent School called St. Patrick's. A beautiful school. The nuns taught those days. Now unfortunately there are not enought nuns to go around. Sadly an era is finishing. They were very good teaches. I especially loved the craft groups we had. I learnt all I know from the nuns. I learnt to cook from a Sister Charles. She was so sweet. I went on to be a Cake decorator. Still dabble in it. Mainly for family these days.I have made and decorated cakes for all over the world. Mygreatest passion is Quilting, Patchwork, Embroidery and general sewing. I took in sewing when the boys were grown up. Made lots of wedding dresses, bridesmaids. Now for other crafts I have done and still do. Beading, tapestry, crossstitch, card making, scrapbooking, mosaics, folk art, Calligraphy. You name it I have had ago at it. I just love everything craft.My daughter in law has just got me into ATC cards. They are the best little things. I joined some 3 months ago and have just about entered every swap I see. I am now hosting swaps for our oz group. That is a fun thing to do.I am also a member to swap-bot an International Group. It is so lovely to see the work other people do. It is also nice to get the mail from other places especially from over the world. Materials. I love shopping for materials. Have a cupboard full. I love pinks, autums tones.Pastal colours. Butterflys, Pansy materials. I would have every one there has come on the market. Sports- Played golf, squash, tennis, basketball. Not so much these days as the old arhritis has taken over. Lesiure- Love to walk. Walk every day.Swimming - love the beach although I am not a swimmer. Music- love quite peaceful music, country, jazz. Hard rock, a big nono. My mum passed away march just gone. A very hard time for me as I left work to look after my mum some 8 years ago. I lost my best friend. My dad is still going strong. 88 years and still drives and has a big vegetable garden. He and mum were married for 67 years. A long time to be together. For my craft love brads. Love music papers. Hand made papers.Vintage things, old photos, beads, ribbons. As you can see I love all things.
