Hello Swappers ,
I would like to introduce myself to you. My name of course is Janet Bullard and I am a former home school mom and a military wife, live in a small town, Union, Mississippi. In addition, I will be married for twenty-four years (October 26, 1985) to Mitchell, a wonderful man. He spoils me rotten and I really do not mind it at all. I will turn 44 on August 31.
I type all of my letters. Typing is a lot faster and I can go back and add anything I left out. I hope that it will be OK. On occasion, I may hand write, if I get stationery that will not go through my printer.
Mitchell and I have two girls. Our oldest, Kimberely, is grown and married with two little boys, ages 5 and 2. Our youngest, Jennifer, is 19 and in college.
I am the oldest of five. The youngest of my brothers, only 20, drown several years ago while working on a riverboat in the Yazoo River. I have a half sister, Candi, but we are not close, she lives in Gulf Shores and we do not have much to say to each other. Her lifestyle is very different from mine. My brother, Terry, is closest to me, now we talk all the time. Then, there is Robert, now he stays in some type of trouble all the time. Although, I am told he is now beginning to settle down and I am thankful.
I am NOT much of a shopper. I rather take it by spells. It depends on if I am looking for horse tack, computer supplies, pen pal stuff, sewing (quilting) supplies, buying for Christmas or something I am really interested in; but, to just go “shopping” for the sake of shopping and getting out of the house --- count me out. Just shoot me and get it over! Put me out of my misery now! Do not make me just linger on in sheer torment. Are you a shopper?
Hobbies include pen palling, quilting, sewing, painting, horseback riding (also raise Belgium’s), gardening, the outdoors, and too much more to list. Also, I enjoy swapping Stationary, Quilt Quarters, Memory Book Supplies, Pot Holders, Stickers, Quilt Block Patch, Calling Cards, Recipes, Cards, Bookmarks, Doilies, Kitchen Towels, Seed Packets, FB's, Journals, and Story Writing.
We have several horses; my favorite is my Tennessee Walker. His name is Star, he is such a ham and is 16 years old. The other two are Quarter Horses: Cheyenne and Ben. Cheyenne, I raised from a baby. She is 10 years old. Ben has been in the family for a very long time, passed around between my two of my brothers and me, me being where he ended up. He is about 21 and really just a babysitter. I wanted him for Jennifer to learn to ride on, but now she has moved on to “my horse” and I ride hers, Cheyenne, most of the time now: although, Ben’s job now will be to teach the grandchildren how to ride.
The rest (19) are Belgium and Percheron.
I love gardening. In the spring, I live for the seed catalogs to start filling my mailbox.
At the moment, I am working two part-time jobs. However, usually you can find me on the computer late at night, with exception to gardening time, and then my time divided between the garden, kitchen, household chores, church, internet marketing, our horses, and anything else. I have gotten so busy that I have to write everything down. Age, I suppose is about to catch up with me. :))
I am pretty much a country girl, as I consider myself nothing more than an educated redneck. Ha! Ha! My dad once asked me why I thought of myself in that way. I asked him, “How many computer programmers did he know who drove a dually and not a car?” I feel like you should always keep your roots close; it will keep you on track, for you will always remember where you came from and where you want to go in perspective. A person’s arrogance kept in check too, no more to “big” for your britches. LOL! LOL!
I started pen palling about six years ago after I came home for good. Mostly, to friends I have had for years, some since high school. Then last summer, I decided to look for pen pals outside of close friends. They are located in England, Australia, several US states, Nepal, Canada, and Netherlands. This past Christmas, cards covered our wall above the TV. Cards from various parts of the world, some were handmade while others had stickers and decorations placed inside. I even had to translate one. I felt so blessed to have that many friends. Before then, I would just pick up the phone and call when I wanted to chat. I really like going to the post office and finding letters. It makes me think back to what people many years ago felt when they would get in their buckboards or wagons and go to town to get supplies and see if they had a letter waiting or to post one to a family member. I believe you get the same feeling now. My goal is to have pen pals from each of the states and as many countries as possible. How long have you pen palled and do you have many women you write to?
I have been involved with Internet Marketing and online publishing for several years. Mostly, publishing a free online newsletter, Magnolia Walker Company Ezine, http://www.magnoliawalker.com. Then five years ago, I decided to expand my letter writing to include new friends from all over. In addition, I started a new pen pal site, Christian Pen Pal Newsletter, http://www.penpalezine.com.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Janet Bullard P. O. Box 401 Union, MS 39365-0401 toworksmart@hughes.net

I love contemporary as well as gospel Christian music.
My favorite authors are Jan Karon, Beverly Lewis, Irene Hannon, Jerry B. Jenkins, and some more.
I love to quilt and my "in progress" projects show it. Also, I have "stashes" and they are very important. Some of my fabrics may dry rot before I ever get to make a quilt or wall hanging out of it, but that is OK.
I am a big CSI fan, House, and Battlestar Galactica. Also, I grew up on John Wayne and Charleston Heston movies.
