I'm Nicole, 49 years old and I live in the Ruhr area of Germany. I'm divorced and have no children by choice. Professionally, I recently switched from heavy metal to precious metals. :D
I've been working in a shop for gothic and alternative clothing and accessories for eight years. Since August 2016 I work in a precious metal shop.
Although it is not such a big thing in Germany, I'm addicted to everything Halloween related.
Here an altered matchbox with diorama I created:
And I love dachshunds or doxies - they're too cute! In my childhood we had a longhaired doxie in our family - this has influenced me. ;-) My new love are flying foxes! Adorable creatures. :-)
I like citrus fruits, especially oranges (also as colour) - they're delicious! I collect the sometimes beautifully printed tissue- or glacine-like wrapping papers of oranges. :D Yes, I admit: I have a strong tendency to collect and hoard almost everything - useful or not! ;-)
Mostly I'm more on the dark, creepy than on the candy-sweet, cute side and as you see: Full of contradictions. ;-)
I also like:
I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, everything that appeals to me, but mainly to rock, hard rock and metal - especially stoner and psychedelic rock and post metal. I really love going to concerts, listening to live music. To randomly name some of my favourite bands: Monster Magnet, Karma To Burn, Colour Haze, Isis, Neurosis, Opeth, Tool ...
Abraham Stoker - Dracula.
I adore Jim Jarmusch and Tim Burton movies. Favourite movie ever: Jim Jarmusch: Dead Man.
I don't watch TV as a form of hygiene of consciousness. :-)
I don't think I'm an artist or professional at crafting, but I have a creative streak and really enjoy most kinds of papercrafting like cardmaking, making journals, embellishments, etc. and always give my best to make the recipient (so far my friends and family ;-) ) happy. I also decorate my small planner and I like to be environment-friendly and re- and upcycle things like nice packaging.
craft supplies: rubberstamps, clear/polymer stamps, washi tape (made of rice paper, please no plastic tapes, if possible), beautiful papers/scrapbookpapers, craft paper and cardstock, shaped paperclips, paperclips, ephemera, postage stamps ... and planner goodies
planner preferences: I use a pocket size planner, so things shouldn't be too big (pages are 8,1 x 12 cm: 3,19 x 4,72 in). It's an older filofax in a rich pumpkin orange colour. I'd love to receive 3x4 journaling cards, if you have some spare ones. It doesn't make sense for me to buy an entire Project Life set, to just use a few in the planner. Update, December 2015: I now also own a black personal size planner that I intend to use more as a diary.
colours: black, oranges, purples, teal blue, blues
