Hi there, :-)
I'm Nicole, 50 years old and I live in the Ruhr area of Germany. I'm divorced and have no children by choice. Professionally, I switched from heavy metal to precious metals in August of 2016.
I've been working as a shop manager for gothic and alternative clothing and accessories for eight years, now I am full time employed in precious metal retail.
Although it is not such a big thing in Germany, I'm addicted to everything Halloween related.
Here an altered matchbox with diorama I created:
And I love dachshunds or doxies - they're too cute! In my childhood we had a longhaired doxie in our family - this has influenced me.
I like citrus fruits, especially oranges (also as colour) - they're delicious! I collect the sometimes beautifully printed tissue- or glacine-like wrapping papers of oranges. Yes, I admit: I have a strong tendency to collect and hoard almost everything - useful or not! ;-)
Mostly I'm more on the dark, creepy than on the candy-sweet, cute side and as you see: Full of contradictions. ;-)
I also like:
I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, everything that appeals to me, but mainly to rock, hard rock and metal - especially stoner and psychedelic rock and post metal. I really love going to concerts, listening to live music. To randomly name some of my favourite bands/artists: Monster Magnet, Karma To Burn, Mark Lanegan, Colour Haze, Isis, Neurosis, Opeth, Tool ...
Abraham Stoker - Dracula.
I adore Jim Jarmusch and Tim Burton movies. Favourite movie ever: Jim Jarmusch: Dead Man.
I don't watch TV as a form of hygiene of consciousness. :-)
I don't think I'm an artist or professional at crafting, but I really enjoy most kinds of papercrafting like cardmaking, making journals, embellishments, etc. and always give my best to make the recipient happy. I also have a strong affinity to stationery, decorate my planners and I like to be environment-friendly and re- and upcycle things like nice packaging.
craft supplies: rubberstamps, clear/polymer stamps, washi tape (made of rice paper, please no plastic tapes, if possible), beautiful papers/scrapbookpapers, craft paper and cardstock, shaped paperclips (I am kind of obsessed with them lately! :D), paperclips, ephemera, postage stamps
planner preferences (updated January 2018): I use a pocket size planner in my backpack for work. At home I also use a no name A5 size planner as a kind of planner/diary/smashbook combination.
