I'm Vanne and I am from Northern California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. I swap mostly ATCs, Rolos, Skinnys and Altered Tags. I also swap and collect Postcards especially Vintage PCs, Playing Cards as well as Vintage Greeting Cards.

Most of my stuff is Mixed Media Collage or Stamping, but I do a little-bit of Hand painted and some Digital.

I would say that I mostly do Vintage, Shabby Chic, Grunge and Retro Style and I love using lots of stuff found at Antique Stores and love using paints, buttons and Ephemera and random goodies, lol...

I am thankful everyday for all the new friends that I have made and all the beautiful little pieces of art that I am receiving. I love to see other artist's cards and love to see how they interpret a certain theme or challenge.

MY FAVORITE THEMES:

PARIS: French, Eiffel Tower, Les Follies Bergeres, Fleur de Lis, Moulin Rouge, Can Can Dancers, French Monarchy, Paris in the 1920's, Josephine Baker and Marie Antoinette.

VINTAGE: Vintage Babydolls, Vintage Nudes, Perfume Bottles, Birdcages and Red Roses. Vintage Sun Bathers and Beach Theme, Cupids, Romantic Couples, Flappers, and Ladies with Big Hats.

OLD WEST: So into cute little Vintage Cowgirls!!! I really love all things from this time, from Trains, Gold Rush, Cowboys, Poker Cards, Guns, Boots, Old Time General Stores, Saloons and Saloon Ladies.

SEXY: I love sinful ladies of all eras such as Burlesque / Exotic Dancers and Pin Up Girls. I am a sucker for anything on the sexy side such as Corsets, Black Stockings, Red Lips. etc...

DANCERS: Especially Ballerinas.

CLASSIC MOVIES: My all time favorite movies are High Society, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Dark Passage, Auntie Mame and Gypsy.I love all the old movie stars like Shirley Temple, Doris Day, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe and anything to do with cinema.

TIM HOLTZ: Just adore his stuff and I love his Grunge / Nostalga themes. I like to learn various techniques from his Blog.

JAPANESE: Koi Fish, Geishas, Landscapes, Kimonos and Pagodas. I actually love all types of Asian Art from everywhere.

FRENCH IMPRESSIONISTS: I have seen many of the pieces in person at various exhibits over the years. My favorite is Degas especially the Dancers.

1967: The year I was born and I love anything having to do with the Summer of Love and Flashbacks from the 1960's. Music from Woodstock and great Filmore Posters from the 1960's. Rock Gods like Jim Morrison.

MYSTICAL: Illusionists, Fortune Tellers and Crystal Balls. I have been collecting various Tarot Cards that my partners have been sending me.

ART NOUVEAU / ART DECO

RETRO: I am obsessed with High School Yearbooks from the 1950's and 1960's, Travel Ephemera from 50's and 60's and 70's. Especially love AAA and road travel maps from gas stations. Love Postcards of Motels.

EXOTIC BIRDS: I have a large collection of Bird ATCs and love all kinds, especially Blue Birds,Cardinals, Owls and Birds wearing Pointy Hats. I also love exotic birds like Peacocks, Swans, Flamingos and Parrots.

CHILDREN'S BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS: Vintage Children's books have the most beautiful Illustrations, I just love them. I enjoy Fairy Tales, Nursery Rhymes and Vintage Text and Picture Books.

FROG WEARING A CROWN: I really love any kind of animals wearing crowns, but I especially love the Princess and the Frog Fairy Tale. I actually love all animals wearing people clothes and doing Human activities.
