I am a native New Yorker, in my mid-20s. I live with my mother and 95-year-old grandmother. I recently became a christian, and so live has been very good! I also am a violin teacher. I would love to be a violin teacher at a big church music program some day!
I am really interested in postcard swaps again. I joined SO MANY about 2 years ago, and I gave and collected so many cards, I could hardly keep track of them all! But now I am interested again, because I would love to share bible verses with people and also hear people's stories. I would especially love to hear about what is most important to you. And if you want to send me a bible verse too that would be wonderful!
If you want also you can write about your favorite classical piece of music, or your favorite composer, favorite classical instrument, or favorite era of music (baroque, romantic, etc.) That would be so cool to hear about!
Or you can tell me what your favorite word is. I have a few favorite words that I say over and over again because they make me happy, is that weird? Anyway if you have a favorite word you can tell me that!
Likes: christian, bible verses, testimonies, classical music/composers, rodents, lemurs, very short haired animals, wrinkly faced dogs, things in German (I can read German), or your favorite word!
Dislikes: touristy postcards, rock music, sarcasm/cynicism, halloween, fairies and other mystical creatures, goth, anything romantic/sexual.
I'm looking forward to the swaps!
Classical music, especially featuring strings and piano on period instruments (harpsichord, fortepiano, baroque/classical styles of playing; "Early music.")
Favorite composers are Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Bach.
The Bible (KJV, NIV84, NASB) Books about christian topics. I love the women's books by Elizabeth George.
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path." Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
"Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up." James 4:10 (NIV84)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 (NIV84 - my favorite!)
"For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is to gain." Philippians 1:21 (NASB)
"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed; a stronghold in times of trouble." Psalm 9:9 (NIV84)

Hi, I'm cruising through swaps and people who are hosting them and when I saw one to do with verses, I stopped by for a visit. :o)
You have a very nice profile. I have different versions of Bibles as well. It helps me to get a clearer understanding and I like how some Bibles give a lot of background information or time lines.
Hope our paths cross sometime in the future ~ take care.
I Love 'Moonlight Sonata'. Great profile you have:)
Just checking out your profile because I'm sending to you for the Uber-Postcard swap. I'm a Chronicle Books postcard addict too. :) If you like Queen, you should check out this band called Sparks if you don't already know them - they're like a less serious, kitschier Queen. Also will be heading over to check out your blogs in a bit!
