I am rather new to my new home state of Michigan, fresh up from the steamy south. Already fearing the coming winter.

I don't have any pets right now, but I am on the look out for a new puppy.

I love to travel and try new things. Some of my favorite places are Florence, London and a tiny little town in Tanzania called Monduli.

My favorite colors are warm earth tones--rust, ochre, saffron. Not so much a fan of super brights, but you never know under the right circumstances...

I love unique arts and crafts items, and anything I wouldn't have seen myself (just not anything too country-cutesy please).

I love to read. Just about any and everything. I have a soft spot for fantasy books, (grew up reading Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, etc.) and love to try new things. You can check out my library at LibraryThing.com

I'll try anything once! Right now I've gone crazy with felting and other fiber arts (I love to knit and crochet), but if I haven't tried it before, I'd love to now.

I think I have embarrasingly strong feelings about tv. I love anything from Joss Wheadon (esp. Firefly), Project Runway and the like, and all those crime dramas (CSI, Bones, Criminal Minds).

I love folk, pop, rock, alt, anything really, except country. There's always time for a good dance track, and I'm still lisenting to my '80s and '90s bands. Right now I'm obsessed with Ellen Rosner and the Barenaked Ladies.
