Hello! My name is Tina. I live on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. It is very green here. I grew up on the side of the mountain before moving into town. I live with my partner, Ben, and our many pets. I have a BA in English lit. I loved school but did not find what I wanted to do with my life. I am going back to school to become a RN (Two years left!). Right now I am working as a picture framer. In my spare time, I love to cook, garden, craft, learn new things, play videogames, read, watch TV and travel! I love traveling to SciFi conventions and I am going to WebComics Weekend in Nov! (very excited as I have never been to the East coast)
I am learning about children from the 3.5 year old that lives with her mother in the basement suite. Her name is Maya and she likes Princess outfits, Stickers, Dora the Explorer and the colour blue.
My favorite crafts are knitting, drawing, painting, paper craft, card making, cross-stitch, sewing (costumes & animal bedding) Sculpey figures.... anything I can figure out. I am hoping to learn many new crafts on this site!
In our family we have two cats, three ferrets and one bearded dragon.
Cats: Our first cat is Muffin, who is now reaching the age of around 13. We are not sure exactly how old, as he was a rescue. He is very shy but loves hugs from her family. Our second cat is Jack. He is 7 and huge. Most of this is fur and muscle. He is often called Bone and is known as the evil cat or my cat. I still love him.
Ferrets!: Everything about ferrets is kooky !!!!!. They are little hurricanes of cuteness. I have one boy and two girls. The Girls are Aggie and Willow and the Boy is Gaspode. They have their own "ferret proof" room where we hang out and play.
Lizard: Jasper is an adult male bearded-dragon. He enjoys tomatoes, grapes, strawberries an bath-time.
I 'like' the following, in no order other then the order in which it popped into my head:

In addition of all the geeky things I like now, I was also a geeky child who loved to read. I had all the colour fairy tale books in addition to some large collections! Too big for my little hands. I made weekly visits to the library were I would test my strength with the weight of my book bags.
My favorite fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. I tend to love villains. I love villains that need love hehehe. Wicked queens and Beasts are the best.
