Comment: Thank you so much for your summer postcard, Sherri:-) I picture a county fair like a volksfest (I hope that's more or less correct), and a volksfest is a big part of summer for me, too:-) Unfortunately not this year and last year neither but hopefully next summer:-) Wishing you a great rest of summer <3
Comment: I was in Iowa aug 2019 I was never so scared of the weather anywhere in my life as I was then. The sky just turned black and it poured so hard we took refuge at a Casey's. Thank you for the card of Iowa...I never did get postcards from there. Di
Comment: Thank you for all the wonderful postcards! I've read "The Good Earth" and "Peony" is my list of books to read. Your note prompted me to search my library's audiobook app and there it was! so I borrowed it. At the moment I'm listening to "Caste" by Isabel Wilkerson for book club. Are there other books you recommend?
Comment: Wow what an amazing selection of postcards. Thanks so much. They are too beautiful to use!🥰 The extra bits are nice too. I like to watercolor paint so it was cool to see the bits plus little pieces to add to my journaling.
Comment: Love the postcard and the Steampunk quote. Steampunk is my go to. We are suppose to get some snow showers this weekend. I know it will melt, but jeesh, it's May. lol. Stay safe and happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the uplifting article. I enjoyed reading about the book donations and the difference that young lady has made for the center. There’s a Pro-life Center called, “A Place for Women” here that is a blessing.
Comment: I actually like your drawings! Where did you fail? I wish I could draw hands half as good as these. Love the drawing of the hourglass and you did a nice job of shading that face. The rest of your sketchbook must be amazing if these are "fails". Thanks for the goodies!
Response: You kind words have re-lit my fire.
I was in a dry spell, now I am creating again!
Comment: My husband and I just got into DnD; I'm usually a halfling, or dwarf. I haven't gotten a favorite weapon-we play one off challenges, while my friends do a massive quest every Sunday...maybe as we evolve.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful dragonfly pc! It has a special home near my desk!I am so grateful for audio-books; there are days I actually feel like someone who reads lol. Thank you again. All the best ~ Amrita
Comment: Yep, it turned out great! Good start! Thank you!!
Response: Oh, good!
When I told my son I was nervous about this swap, he said I was missing the whole point of ZENtangle.
He pointed that I should just be happy with process; should appreciate the creation.
Comment: It arrived!! I think it must have taken a very scenic route! It sure took some time. Thank you for the swap ☺️ (It has arrived before the other add card though...if this was a race, your card won!)
Comment: Your painting is beautiful what brand of watercolors did you use to create it? Also the words you put on the inside is up lifting and inspiring. Thank you so much.
Response: Hello LadyCyr.
Thank you for the ❤.
My watercolors are simply the, "Master's Touch" brand from, Hobby Lobby and the very inexpensive children's sets from Dollar General.
I know you have a favorite brand of WC's and I am glad you found your proper fit of medium.
Keep the art flowing!
Comment: Hi Sherri thank you for the Holiday Train PC I love the puffin PC's. Also the frog postage stamps are really awesome. I like the W.H.Auden quote and remember him from high school readings.Happy October swapping peace love light
Comment: Hi Sherri, I got your altered business card this week! with the doggies all dressed for Halloween, so sweet. I like the rich orange paint in part of the background. (Please tell your Director of Nursing!) And YES I would be thrilled to receive some of your students' art!! I bet you have a lot of really fun projects for them. Thank you for the note.
Comment: You used the "S" word! Oh no! We have not had any of that yet. It has been getting down to 35 degrees overnight though. We are in a nice weather pattern at the moment, but it's going to change to rain soon.
Comment: Thanks for the fun "P" upcycled cardboard, Sherri! I love how you decorated it with Alice to go along with the theme. Its funny you used a "hard" drink packaging -- my other partner sent a piece of Pacifico beer packaging and I sent St. Pauli Girl beer packaging to my partners! Great minds! :-) Mary
Comment: Isn’t night shift fun? I mean that both sarcastically and seriously since I actually prefer nights being a night owl, but they’re horrible for when you have to get anything done during ‘normal’ times on day’s off haha. It’s great to know that there are other ‘social justice warriors’ out there :). I know people call us that to be unkind, but I wear it like a badge because the world needs way more love, compassion and understanding than it currently has ❤️.
Comment: Whoaaaaa, I love this Devil's Tower card! Now only is it in one of my favorite sci-fi movies, but this bear is hilarious! Very cool and thanks for the extra! I've always wanted to see the Queen Mary. And I bet Egypt looks very different now. Thanks for a great swap :):):)
Comment: Sherri, thank you for the (¯`*•.¸♥♫ ♫ B░E░A░U░T░I░F░U░L ♫ ♥¸.•*´¯) ♥♥♥♥ watercolor leaf! It arrived 09-12-19. Wow! Your watercolor is gorgeous! I LOVE it! It is a true treasure and you are an unbelievable artist. You spoil me! εїз Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ ❤ ƸӜƷ εїз Lora
You are too kind.
I really needed some kind words today.
Comment: Hello! Thank you for the lovely map postcard. Competitive frisbee is like soccer in the sense where u are running down the field, but except instead of kicking a ball, you are throwing a disc!!
Comment: Hello Sherri. Thank you for your letter and I'm so sorry to hear about your recent breakup :( i commend you for still doing your swaps and life just continues. Stay strong you beautiful woman! Thanks for the orca drawing on my envelope too, it made my day and brightened my mailbox :)
Response: Glad you enjoyed the orca!
I had fun creating the envelope.
Comment: I love the card you sent: did you make it yourself? It's very beautiful and one I will treasure. That's the best thing about books, isn't it? They really do transport you to another place, outside of yourself and what is really happening. All the best, and thanks for being my swap partner! Tracy
Response: Yes, I painted it myself; glad to know you will treasure it!
Comment: Thanks for the great PC and your list.
I like to watch horse shows. The only horses I rode as a kid were the neighbor's Belgian work horses, Ted & Nancy. They were 15 and 16 hands high and we would drop onto them from the hay loft. My neighbor broke his ankle once, sliding down from Ted's back. They were very gentle,
Response: My show horse in high school was 17 hands so your neighbour's work horses were on the small side.
Glad you have such fun childhood memory of horses.
