Response: So glad they reached you quickly! You're welcome! A wonderful weekend to you!!
Comment: NAOMI!! All caps is an absolute necessity! Always amazing to get a package from you. I just peeked because I didn't want to be too tempted!! Everything is so beautiful! I'm so looking forward to Christmas! And you know I'll be back to thank you further afterwards!! Big Hugs! :o)
Comment: Happy Spring Naomi!! I was so excited to get the huge box you sent through the mail today!! :o) As always, I LOVE everything!! You're so thoughtful and I love reading your notes. Your mailbox is now by my computer on my hutch so I can see all the time and be reminded of your kindness. All of the stamps were awesome, I am absolutely enthralled with the rose stamp with the white decorative handle. It is soooo cute!! And the Writing Box, I will definitely be storing treasures in it!! The tea cup is gorgeous and will be put to good use. I love the little sugar/glitter bowl. A great friend of mine used to collect lustre-wear and its amazing this piece is all together with no chips or anything!! Of course I love the kawaii too!! So many things to thank you for!! Thank you for swapping with me again, it is always so much fun! Love to Sir Edward, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!! Hugs!!!
Comment: Thank you so much Naomi for my fun Un/birthday parcel. It arrived in time for my birthday too! Unwrapping each gift was a 'eeeh' moment for me. I liked everything you sent, especially the pretty flower hair pin and vintage style sticker sheets. Until next time- Big Hug
Comment: Oh Naomi, Swapping with you does the heart good!! :o) I've been looking at my little box since I got it this afternoon and I've been waiting...until I couldn't anymore!! lol I LOVE everything, thank you, thank you, thank you. I adore the Valentine card you sent and the deco tapes had me dancing with joy before I opened any of the presents!! The socks are adorable, I love the rubber stamps, I'm intrigued to try sharing the lip balm with Milzy--say a prayer that it doesn't snow on Friday so I can make the 6 hour journey to be with him for Valentine's Day!! Mixing when we kiss will be a fun activity! lol And I'm so glad you sent the necklace--I wholeheartedly support the cause and will check out their website and wear the necklace! And the SMURFS! Of course I watched it!! lol That and the Chimpmunks were my favorite cartoons as a kid. Along with She-ra!! My dad called my brother Josh brainy smurf, he was usually too smart for his own good! Thank you for a great Valentine's package --I'm feeling the love. ;o) Your package is supposed to be to you on Monday, it was sent priority but it wasn't a flat rate box, be on the lookout. Happy Valentine's Day my friend!!!
Response: I loved the Chipmunks as a kid, too. I tried watching some recently and was surprised by how slow and inane I found it as an adult. ;) I hope you had a good day, sweet friend.
Comment: O-M-G!!!! That just needed to be said. I hardly know where to start...I had a great giggle reading about Little E's first Christmas. I'm pretty sure the next one will be more to his liking. :o) Everything you sent to me was amazing. It was one of the greatest swaps I've ever received. So thoughtful...every detail was appreciated. The notes, the wrapping and of course, the gifts themselves. I'm over the moon with the vintage ephemera, the wonderful mailing labels. The Ernie the Envelope package--I had none of that!! My Downton Abbey Calender!!!!! (I can't wait for Sunday! I have a serious crush on Branson!) The cameo necklace is divine! The kawaii! That awesome little Coca-Cola Santa tin! The frizz control! (I have very curly hair, so that is awesome.) My tea for Downton and the wonderful sugar sticks! Snoopy and Charlie Brown! Washi! I simply can't put into words how grateful I am for the love you put into this package. I carefully put everything back in the box and am taking things out to oh and ah over. What a wonderful Christmas, Birthday, New Year Surprise. You are an amazing person. Thank you so much. And of course I want to do a Valentine's Swap!!
Response: So glad you enjoyed! You sent a pretty amazing/fantabulous/cool beans swap yourself! :) they killed off my favorites of Sybil and Matthew, so I watch now primarily for Mary and the Dowager Countess -- what rapier wit!! We'll have to compare notes next week. ;)
Comment: This package was SO AWESOME and deserves a million hearts! I so appreciate the time and thought and tender loving care with which you put everything together! My goodness! Where to start?! I sat on my couch going through the layers and layers of everything several times . . . it felt like an early Christmas! Thanks so much for the tea, coffee, and sugar (packaged in such a delightful way), the cute bandaids, inspirational thoughts for card making, handmade envies, hot air balloon stickers, nostalgiques vellum stickers, snoopy stickers, sample ATC, ATC kit created with love (of course), cute piggy treat bags, washi tape, ladybug labels, magnet words, “crafted by†clear stamps, bee photo squares, thought bubble post its, ALL the cute post-it notes actually, butterfly notecards, bumble bee card, birds and nests rubber stamp set, hand sanitizer, and the Pink Bubbly chocolate! WOW! My little package to you is no match for these awesome treasures! I just love everything! Thanks so, so much . . . and know that just when you least expect it, there will be a little extra happy mail in your mailbox so as to not let you completely outdo me. :o) ******** P.S. Ohhhh yes! And the Limited Edition Downton Abbey tea! I had no idea! That went right in my tea cupboard so it wouldn't get lost and I am having some today (brewing as I type this). It smells WONDERFUL! Thank you again!
Comment: Thank you for a wonderful package! You sent so many lovely things and you were so kind to include goodies for the girls. I love the necklace and look forward to using the adorable tea press. I can't wait until I get a chance to look through all of the tiny treasures in each whimsy jar. You are such an amazing swapper! Big hugs!
Response: Yay! I hope you like them! So glad we swapped! Replying to your message soon -- sorry for the delay. Just moved today and man oh man is it crazy.... :)
Comment: Thank you for an amazing package!!! I love everything that you sent. I hate to admit but half of the absolutely wonderful chocolate is already gone! The tea is divine. The wreath is beautiful. Violet was so excited to see her name on the package. The things that you sent for her are perfect. The mailbox is adorable. I could go on and on... I fear that the package I sent you will pale in comparison. You are truly a wonderful and thoughtful swapper. Thank you!
Comment: I received your fabulous envie today with the even more fabulous washi tape inside (I only had 1 design). I also really LOVE the biddy-clock charm. I just started an art journal collaborative project, and it may go on my own journal. Thanks also for the green jasmine tea, and for doing the private swap with me!! :) :) :)
Comment: Wowwweeee, Naomi!! I literally just got back to Maine, I left for Cape Cod on Christmas Eve. When I got back imagine my surprise to see your package on the table! I thought it would be here AFTER Christmas! lol My mom and I are celebrating our little Christmas together tomorrow (12/28)since we didn't want to haul all of our stuff with us for the 6 hour ride to my grandmothers. I've peaked in the box and it looks DELIGHTFUL!! I will be back tomorrow to share more of my excitement when I actually unwrap some goodies! :o) I will send yours out very soon! UPDATE: Thank you so much, everything was lovely. Love the pocket watch with the beach glass and the nautical goodies. The vintage ornament, candle...all of it was wonderful! Thanks so much.
Response: I thought I would need more time, but I ended up not -- and so you got it for Christmas! :) have a great new year!
Comment: LOVE the little turtle.... "he" has such personality!! Thanks for a beautiful and thoughtful job, such a fun ATC!! Thanks also for the tea, several are flavors I haven't tried and will certainly enjoy exploring!!
Response: I'm so glad you liked him. I was if two minds at first because turtles are on of MY favorite animals, not yours, but I couldn't resist with the eyes. I think the little bubble dots do add a more realistic,if cartoony, feel. Enjoy! :)
Comment: Thank you for a wonderful package! It was so sweet of you to include so many things for Violet. I love the mobile, the colors are perfect. Thanks you for swapping with me. I hope we can do it again soon :)
Response: Yay! So glad the colors worked out -- I ended up adding more shades than I thought I would once I saw they worked well together. I'll be thinking of you with your new baby soon (!!). I'll swap with you again any time. :)
Comment: Wow Wow Wow! Thank you! You sent me too many goodies! Seriously, thank you for such a kind and special package. I am still admiring it all... I LOVE the little lamb on the matchbox, and the turquoise butterfly ribbon inside, and the floral heart buttons, and the acrylic stamps, and the lovely perfume bottle necklace, and the sweet pink floral wristlet! I could keep going.... I really love all of it and it means so much that you enjoy Swap-bot. It is wonderful to have long-time members like you. Thank you & happy, happy swapping! xoxo
Response: You're welcome, and I'm so glad you liked your package,Rachl! I meant to send the goodies anyways as a surprise -- that you were also my mb partner was a happy coincidence! Hugs to you!
Comment: Your package arrived, and it almost made me cry, as everything is so lovely! I love the wrappings, and quick look to the box told me, that you have sent something for Lilja too. <3 We will open them on Christmas Eve. Thank you so much, Naomi! I'll send you a message later!
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your package, Sanna! Hope all is going well for you!
Comment: I'm super thrilled to be in swaps again finally. AND I'm super excited to have a fun full Christmas stocking!!!
update: So much!! The pin, the washi tape, felted coasters (I can hardly believe you made them... they are awesome!!! i HATE TO USE THEM... BUT will hee hee!) , chocolates, um, um, um... so much love in one package. Thank you for sharing Christmas with me!
Comment: I got this today! What lovely wrapping! I can't wait to open them on Christmas. =) **ADDED 12-26** Naomi, you did a wonderful job picking out items for me! I loved the beautiful necklace you made me! The stickers are awesome too. I'll have to watch the DVD with my daughter soon. And all the other items and the cute matchbox were great too. I loved the paper you wrapped with and the tags and yarn were so cute. Thanks for another wonderful Christmas swap!
Response: Yay. :) The outside was a little on the battered side, but I figured the inside makes up for it. Enjoy them, and be sure to open in the order specified (for two of them, anyways!). Happy Holidays to you!
Comment: A.MAZE.ING! What a wonderfuly generous...speachlessly astoundingly assortment of teas!! Naomi - it was over the top...and the ATCs were adorable :) Thank you so VERY much for the swap - I feel like mine just won't live up...I have a little package coming your way that DIDN'T make it in (silly me)...
Response: No problem -- I'm so glad to share. I got your package, today, too -- gorgeous! Let me know whenever you're up for a tea swap again -- I'd love to swap that, or anything else with you! :)
Comment: Your box arrived fast! Thank you so much! I love what you chose. Those cookies! <3 And so much tea, which I'd like to taste right away. Chocolate is so tempting, and the sugar cubes and cupcake are adorable! And I really, really like also everything else you sent. The tags are pretty! This rating sounds already ridiculous with all the "wows", but your box really made me happy. :) Hopefully my box will reach you soon. Thank you for swapping with me, and please contact me, if you ever want to swap again. :)
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And, I would love to swap again. I was going to make you something before, but I couldn't find the materials I needed for them, so I sent the box without them. Just found the items this morning. :) looking forward to your package arriving, too!
Comment: Oh, how precious the matchbox and goodies were!! The crocheted cherries were wonderful and all the little charms were so special...The fabric will be put to good use!! Let's do this again!! Thank you for your thoughtfulness! Smiles, Beth
Response: So glad we got to have a second swap together! And more in the future! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the great mix of stamps and the bonus cards! I feel badly now that I don't know if I clarified that mine were still on paper... I definitely need to learn more about postage collecting and some tricks to removing them from the envelopes!
Response: No worries! Mine came like that. I don't bother slaving over steam or the other tricks to getting off the paper. ;)
Comment: Oh Naomi! Wow - how can I thank you enough for all the amazing gifts you sent me? Every single thing...so thoughtful, so perfect and so beautiful wrapped and packaged! I adore the way you wrap things, the tags you write...all the 'little' things which I think are so special! I love, love, love the stamps you carved! How funny that we should both think of that!? I love the brooch you made - and I can't believe the sugar cubes! I've never seen anything like them before and can't wait to float them in my tea! They're wonderful! You're wonderful! And i'm so happy to have had the chance to swap with you again. I hope you had a magical Christmas, and I'm already looking forward to our next swap! ;) So lucky to have you as a friend! Hugs, Livvy xxx
Response: Oh dear, this is a super, super late response. I'm so glad, though, that you liked everything Livvy -- especially the sugar cubes. I tried several before I got them to float for me. I think it's the way the sugar melts in the tea? Hope all is well for you -- I'm sendin g bright sunshiny thoughts your way. Let me know when you'd like to swap again -- anytime! :)
Comment: Naomi, I love how you packaged everything. It's goregous. I was surprise to see the hello kitty bag where you put everything in it. Thank you so much for the butterfly hair clip. Did you crochet them or knit them? I cannot tell the difference. They are lovely and I'm sure it will look great on my daughter. lol.
Response: I'm so pleased you liked everything! Yes, I had that Hello Kitty bag for a while and thought it would make pretty packaging. The clips are crocheted, but not by me. Please let me know when you'd like to swap again and if you have questions! :)
Comment: What a perfect theme for this swap! From the little red ribbon to the ATC to the hanky and the small gift inside, it was a perfect "Little House" memory.
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed! I worried at first that the ATC was too simple, perhaps, bu the illustration seemed to carry so much of what I remember about Christmas -- or remember reading about Christmas as a child, anyways. I don't worry so much about switches as an adult. :) I'm so pleased you enjoyed your package. A wonderful holiday season to you!
Comment: We got this yesterday! Cailtin adores the small packet you sent just for her! She had a great time ripping it open and she is very impressed to get her own matchbox. That was very nice of you!
I did open the red package of matchboxes for me too. I am going to wait to open the rest, though it will be hard. These are such cute little matchboxes! I love how you used gems to make the rainbow on the box. Very creative and adorable! **EDIT 12-25** Wow, I've finally opened everything and this was the best package ever! I can't believe you found some Lisa Frank bubblegum machine stationary! You totally ROCK!! Thanks for all the goodies you included in this swap! The shamrock and squirrely stamps were great too! =) Happy Holidays!
Response: You're welcome, and Caitlin, too. :) Yes, the rainbow one was my favorite, although, darn, I forgot to take a picture before I sent it. If you photograph it, will you send me the file? Enjoy the rest on Christmas -- and open the last one last, especially! ;)
12/29: So glad you loved it! Yes, when I saw the LF stationery, I about danced a jig in the store much to the dismay of my DH who looked askance at the glass ornaments nearby on the shelf. Oops. Happy New Year! :)
Comment: What a Christmas-y MB!!! I do love glitz so this is a prefect MB for me. . . and I love al the little goodies inside that I will certainly use in future swaps. Thanks again for the beautiful Christmas MB (and the little soap is so cute) ~~ Have a great holiday season!!
Response: You're welcome! It was the first time I tried that particular decorating technique and I'm glad you liked it. Happy holidays to you as well!
Comment: What a neat package! The mailbox is super cool (my little girl has claimed it for pretend play). I love all the stickers and postmarked stamps from mailed packages - It was perfect for this swap! Thanks for being so thoughtful!!
Response: You're welcome! I'm so glad you like them. :)
Comment: Hi Naomi, thanks so very much for the lovely ATC cards and all the extra,s.What a lovely package all those little envelopes and the canvases what a field day I will have making the next cards. big hugs ElsD
Response: So glad you liked them, Els. Those were some of my very favorite ATCs ever made. :)
Comment: Oh, sweet friend. ♥ I absolutely adore the cards you made, even with crinkly glitter (there is no bad glitter, only different kinds.) :) You did a beautiful job on these. Thank you so much, and for the beautiful note you wrote as well. Thank you for the lovely circles! I will have to invest in a circle cutter, that really looks like fun to make these. I will definitely be putting them to good use, they are lovely. Thank you so much for such a beautiful swap, dear friend. ♥ ♥ ♥
Response: You are so welcome, dear Gooseberry. I had been feeling particularly Anne-ish lately... The circles came from another swapper, but I don't like butterflies, so I thought you would like them more.
Comment: Ahh Naomi!!! Your wonderful parcel arrived today - I had so much fun opening everything! This was one of the prettiest, most thoughtful parcels i've ever been sent :) I just adore everything...the stickers (yay!!), the Moomins tin with all the little goodies...everything was perfect and so much fun! And wrapped so beautifully too! You're so lovely, thank you for swapping with me and I really hope we can do a 'round 2' sometime! ;) Hugs, Livvy xxx
Response: Please enjoy them -- I had so much fun making your packet, though it was slender and mostly flat! And, isn't it so nice when we meet people who might be kindred spirits from another time? Round Two? Definitely! And, iIf I ever make it to England, I will look you up. :) Hugs back to you, new friend!
Comment: These stamps are really cool - I love them! Thanks for sending the Kawaii sticker flakes and memos too - the Halloween flake is adorable! And thank you for the little collage images - my favorite is the "fish sticks" one as fish sticks are one of the few things my very picky 16 year old son will eat! Thanks so much for swapping with me - I'm looking forward to putting together your profile surprise box!
Response: You're so welcome -- I'm glad you will be able to use them! I had fun tucking in those fun things for you. Hugs to you. :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the great swap. The cards were simple yet perfect for the Care Bears. I love the pages from the book you included. And can't believe you have Care Bear tape... I'm a little jealous!
Response: I'm so glad you liked them. Yes, I worried that they were too simple, but I tried to go for purposeful simplicity, rather than crappy simplicity. ;) I got the tape on Etsy. I was annoyed that the seller did not specify the length of the roll, so I paid an exorbitant amount for a tiny tiny bit. It IS beautiful, though, isn't it?
Comment: How do you say AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL in ten different languages??? If I knew, it would be here! Where to start-flower box was stunning! Cards, tin box and magnets are so original! ATC's are fun and sassy. The flower pin is my FAVORITE and I can't wait to wear it! Everything was above and beyond any swap I have received before! You are so talented! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Response: You're so welcome, dear, and I'm so glad you liked everything. YOU are very talented yourself, might I add!? After your Etsy shop slows down, I would love to have a private swap if you're interested for your lovely kite card! :) Hugs back to you...
Comment: Thank you very much for everything you sent me. I especially love the cookiecutters and the apron - my boyfriend says that I look like a typical american when I am wearing it:) My sister fell for the cupcakedcorations, so we will be making some similar for her wedding:)
Response: So glad! I'm not sure there is a typical American, but I'm glad the apron fits. I'm enjoying my tea and treats, too -- thank you! :)
Comment: Even without your lovely note, I would have recognized this as Somerset matchbox!!! It is SO pretty! I just love it!!! The little envies are adorable, as is your calling card! It was wonderful to have you as a swap partner!!
Response: Replying via PM! Thank you for a lovely note, and hugs to you!
Comment: Thank you Naomi for another amazing swap! I absolutely LOVED everything you sent! The Etsy fave Little Red and the Wolf ring came in today! You totally made my day. XD I will think of you every time I wear it. Thank you for the Matryoshka notecards. I love pretty paper and these are the cutest ones I have ever owned! Also the crochet butterflies and flowers are perfect. Your really know my style. ;) Your the best Naomi! Big Hug
Response: Yay! I'm glad you liked them and glad the ring got to you! I was worried when they hadn't marked "shipped" and quite a while had passed... I'm looking forward to getting your package, too -- always so beautiful! :)
Comment: I think this is one of my most favorite swaps! The package you sent was totally awesome and I love it! Thank you SO SO MUCH for all the cute and thoughtful goodies you included. I especially love the squirrel bookmark and the kawaii goodies. You are a wonderful swap partner! =) P.S. I think you did a better job at decorating your jar than I did, lol.
Response: I was in anguish over decorating the darn jar because of the awkward shape. I ended up taking the easy route and chose an interesting pattern to make up for the simplicity. I'm glad you liked it! I'm glad you liked your jar, overall, too, because I adored your's. Let me know any time you'd like to swap privately. :)
Comment: I LOVE everything in this super sweet package! Thank you so much. The cards, postcards and tags are so well made and just adorable. Love the Little Women dresses! The necklace and little hairpins are beautiful. And the paper lace too! Sorry your machine broke on you...=( I hope we can swap again.
Response: So glad you liked your package -- thank you for being so understanding about the delay! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Comment: OMG Naomi! This is SO adorable! I love it so, so much. I started laughing when I took it out and the hubby got curious as to what it was and even he said it was really cute and just for me. I love his cute, happy face lol. Thank you so much for a wonderful piggy mask! BTW, the stitches are perfect!
Response: Ha ha, thanks. I cried in angry frustration the first time and my husband offered to help me take out the stitches. Unfortunately, because of the felt and fleece, the holes showed quite badly so there was no saving Mask #1. I've since added it to my scrap pile. I'm so glad this one came out nicer and that you like it! It matches your recent piggy kitchen items (I made mine first, though!)... but don't wear it to sleep in the kitchen! :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the fabulous ATCs! You picked a film/book that I thoroughly enjoy, so it was definitely a pleasant envelope to open :-) I was just a regular English major with an emphasis in Literature, but I went out of my way to take British-specific lit classes because I loved them so. Nothing beats a great American classic, though! I must admit that Thoreau had to grow on me, though. I would definitely never say he sucked, but it took me until college to really appreciate and love Walden. I got there eventually :-) Anyway, thanks so much for agreeing to to this private swap to help me catch up on my movie ATCs! I am working hard to make you some profile-based ATCs that I hope you will love!! P.S. I think Fenimore is a gorgeous name for a boy, so if your husbands needs the opinion of a random internet stranger, you know where to find me! :-D
Response: Tee hee! I'm afraid that poor Fen will be teased mercilessly in school for having a "sissy name," but I figure if it's good enough for James Cooper... I'm so glad you enjoyed them. Your experience is exactly the opposite of mine. I took to Thoreau like a duck to water but, barring the eternal Shakespeare of course, hated Brit (and Greek) lit with a burning passion -- far more than anything found in Dante's circles. In fact, I got the only B of my college career in British Literature. I don't tell my students that, of course. ;)
Comment: Oh I do so like Amy Butler, those papers and buttons are great! Thank you for the super cute kit, can't wait to 'go to town with them!' ;) ♥♥♥
Response: I'd never heard of Amy Butler before SB, so when I finally made the connection between the fabric designer and my paper mats, I went *Ohhhh!* So glad you enjoyed them. I had fun putting it together for you!
Comment: Thank you so, so much for all the wonderful ATCs!! I love how each one is so different. My kawaii ATCs are super cute!!! I have Red Riding Hood to keep me company in my craft room. And now I am officially addicted to matchboxes :) The postage MB was FANTASTIC!!! Thank you so, so much for this great swap! You rock :)
Response: You're so welcome! I was glad to share stamps with someone else who also likes them. I *finally* have a "good" reason for keeping old stamps around. Since I'm not an official tweezers-in-my-hand-collector, it never seemed like a proper or respectable thing to have an envelope full of them lying around. Yay for swapbot crafts! :)
Comment: Oh, it's lovely!! It will be hard to make myself use it (although the two swaps I hosted which were for using stationery you *love too much to use*, have taught me that I HAVE TO use it!!) and the tea, yum! Hopefully that will help me on my diet... tomorrow!!
Response: I was inspired by an Etsy listing and thought, "I can make that!" So glad you liked it. So wonderful to be invited to a group that celebrates a weed that I always admired! :)
Comment: Thank you, Naomi!!! I love all the great goodies you sent me! The cheese stamp, so cute! The SF napkins are amazing! And the Disneyland cards will look great in my book this summer. Thank you!!! <3
Response: You're so welcome! I'm glad you didn't mind that it was a bit late -- but I had to send the other items, right? :)
Comment: hi Naomi! I was so happy upon recieving your package today. the felt foodies put a huge smile on my face, and my Lotte embraced the little marshmellow! thanks for all the loveliness you made and gathered for me. you're an awesome swapper and friend.
take care! Hugs. Helena
Response: Dear Helena, Yay! So happy that both you and Lotte enjoyed it. The marshmallow is probably safe for her, but I was a bit worried about the other ones with beads and such. Maybe they can be "just for Mommy" toys. :) Hugs to you, sweetie...
Comment: This was such a wonderful swap to receive! The poem is just beautiful, reading it made me feel all magical and warm and like tomorrow I need to go get "A Little Princess" out of the library. I haven't read it for ages. And I *love* the little toast phonestrap, which is both the cutest thing ever and works perfectly with the feel of the book and your poem.
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it. The fourpence and "Magic" scenes are my very favorite ones. I almost couldn't bear to part with the toast keychain -- but it worked better with the found poem than it did being hoarded away with my treasures. I'm so glad you enjoyed... :)
Comment: What a great day to receive one of your packages. It's snowing outside and sooo cold. As always your packaging is beautiful and so fun to open! I love my pink and blue flag necklace. Looks like the one in my Etsy favorites. ;D The wine cork handmade stamps is very clever! You should sell those - I know they will be a giant success. I love the flowers you make each petal is unique and the burned felt leaf - again brilliant. The paper goodies: handmade mini chocolate envelopes, cupcake toppers with mini cupcake cards and your handmade Valentines Card is amazing. Your very crafty Naomi and I LOVE my package. Thanks you so much! Hugz
Response: My favorite to make was the flag necklace. I think I will make more of those. The cork stamps took forever to make. And I went through 5 mistakes and start-overs. So glad you enjoyed it all. I foresee many swaps in our future together, says the Great Fortune Teller of Walden Pond... ;)
Comment: Oh my stars--the cupcake toppers you sent are so pretty! The vintage! The pleats! The glitter! Thank you so much for the picks, I can't wait to use them. :) How did you know I was coveting those Cavallini valentine postcards as well? I so appreciate the extra cards you included, especially the one you cleverly wrote on, so that I can feel absolutely justified in keeping it. xo
Response: Does a little happy jig. It made me happy to create something pretty and to know it would go to you! I'm glad the good vibes were unwrapped with the package. Hopefully they all got there in one piece? So glad you liked the postcards. I wrote on a card because I know the feeling you mention! Will you beee (bzzz) my valentine? :) hugs...
Comment: Holly smokes - I Love getting mail from you! Your always to thoughtful (so kind of you to read my profile likes) and everything is wrapped so beautifully. So exciting opening each item and 'oohing and awing' at all the pretty beauty products. I just LOVE the gray flower brooch you made, I'm going to pin it on my favorite gray sweater (It's perfect). Ohhh!...Ohhh!... Happiness is - Ultra Fine Sharpies! Thank you so much for another amazing swap. Huggs
Response: You're so welcome, sweetie, and I'm glad you enjoyed everything. I like how the flower brooch turned out, despite being my first. I'm glad you did, too! Finished one lovely portion of your Valentine package this weekend and my crafting table is now strewn with bits of pink and red and glue (hint hint -- yes, vague!). My DH is so happy that he will not be the recipient of the girly crafts this year! ;)
Comment: Hey! It's here! But I'm going to save it for Christmas Eve and open it then. I'll get back to this after that. I'm so curious, the package looks sooooo inviting! -- Update on Christmas Eve: I'm speechless! I'm going to need to write you a separate PM to thank you for everything, I just can't fit everything in here. I'm just going to say that I'm wearing a brown dress today so the necklace matches SO WELL (and no, I'm not going to alter it!). Amazing, Naomi, amazing :-)
Comment: I have NOT looked through it yet... I'll wait!!! But thank you so much anyway... I am really looking forward to opening it! update: Aw, how cute!! I loved how you interpreted everything so acurately relating to the books. The teas are just what I like... I loved the cute little tags explaining everything (so many things!) and the Little House was a fun idea to include!! :)
Response: YAY! And make sure you peek INSIDE the specially-marked item, too. When you open the tissue wrap, there will be more packaging. I HAVE tucked something inside the item, so you'll have to check that one out. ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for yet another sweet package! I love all the vintage trim and lace and the cheery stocking and the apple pie candle and book...not to mention the lovely Christmas present of a pretty and giant rubber stamp! (how shocking to get a bag of coal, though :O ...is this edible?) And how crazy is it that you found a potholder with a gingerbread recipe on it?? Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, and for being such a dear and imaginative friend.
Response: So glad you enjoyed everything! Tee hee about the coal -- it is only a hypothetical gift and not what you would REALLY find in your Little House stocking, of course! No, it is not edible. More of a tree-trimmer I think. My favorite, though, is the handmade package in the little house itself -- did you find that one? :)
Comment: Thank you so much for my surprise package. It was so much fun unwrapping each gift and 'oohing and awing' at all the cuteness. I love it! ;D
Response: You're welcome! I'm actually wearing my darling teacup ring today and several students have already done a double take at it -- especially as I use the projector to write warmups and they see my hand blown up! Let me know if you'd like to swap again! :)
Comment: thank you very much for the lovely package filled with yummy goodies and the delicious tea! My tounge is all numb from tasting everything (i accidentily "tasted" the whole bag of the sour smarties in like 5 minutes:))
Response: Thank YOU for the lovely tea! (I know tea wasn't part of your package; however, since it sounded like you are now trying more than the usual teabags, I had to send you some.) I'm so glad you enjoyed your package, Heidi, and I'm also glad it got to you safely!
Comment: What a wonderful letter! I found your assessments of Jo true to the author and to the character! Unfortunately, the postal service did not heed your warning. To emulate Jo, I will search my button box for a beautiful and appropriate button to replace the one you supplied and sew it on (industry, thrift, determination) so I can enjoy your lace cuff as you intended. What a charming gift! Thank you!
Response: Oh NO! Was the letter torn open en route to you? I'm so sorry about that... Even after I wrote that big bright Do Not Run Through the Machine as well? :(
I'm so glad you enjoyed the bracelet, but I am very sorry the button did not make it. Thank you, though, for the additional connection to Little Women -- industry, thrift, determination -- I love it! Hugs to you...
Comment: thank you so much! i LOVE the ATC and all the extras...plaid- yay! hehehe and the gumball stickers really made me giggle- i'm obsessed with food stickers! the card meant the world to matt (and myself)- hugs!!
Response: That's right -- I didn't even think of the gumball stickers as food-related. I picked it because it was sparkly, rainbow-y, and seemed kind of '80s to me... So glad you liked your package. Yay for you and Matt!
Comment: Oh my! I put the lace cuff on immediately, and the doll *is* perfect! From the buttons to the orange and green plaid dress to the bloomers - she's lovely in every way! Thank you so much!
Response: I'm happy she got to you safely. I've been experimenting with lace lately and your lace bracelet is one result. :)
And I can't believe that I found the doll! From Ireland! Despite the fact that I've never been there! I was tempted to keep her, because I'd love to visit the Irish countryside someday; however, I knew that you would love her more. It was hard to package her up and let her go, though! Give her a hug for me. :)
Comment: Naomi...I don't even know where to start. Each and every part of this package was so incredibly special, from the ribbons of hand-punched lace to the vintage Betsy McCall paper dolls to the little packet of sewing goodies to the handmade bookmarks with Little House quotes...I loved absolutely everything! I opened every bit of it as slowly as I could so I that I could marvel over every piece. Best of all were the tags, which made me so very happy with all of the Little House quotes you chose! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much, my friend. It's so nice to know someone else who understands my love for Laura, and who shares it in such a meaningful way.
Response: Oh happy happy! Think of Grandma doing her clickety-heeled jig and throwing her spoon to some random sugar snow dance-goer!
I'm SO super-glad you liked your Laura package, even with the tape bubbles on the bookmarks. I was so frustrated and nearly in angry tears over those 2 mistakes that I got a personal laminating machine this weekend -- can't beat Costco's $17 deal. The next bookmark will be MUCH better. :)
This has been my very favorite swap to put together. I'm so pleased it went to you. Many hugs...
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely bags and the great teas...so interesting! I will have a cup immediately :) Thanks for the earrings, too. It was a pleasure to swap with you! Let's keep in touch! :)
Response: You're so welcome! I'm so glad I've found someone else who likes loose tea! So glad you liked the tea and other things. I look forward to swapping with you again. :)
Response: This is not "my" rating as I only sent your package yesterday! As I PMd you, I think you got someone else's package confused with mine. ;)
I do hope, however, that when you receive your 'real' package from me that you love it as much as you did someone else's! :)
Comment: You chose my favorite book for TWO bookmarks! See my PM for a funny story about our family visit to Orchard House.
Response: So glad you loved the bookmarks. I thought I'd make 2 for two different feelings / styles. LOVED your funny story about your wise daughter at Orchard House! Yes, there always are two sides to the story, aren't there? :) I have the newest book out right now about Louisa May and her father... still haven't had a chance to read it though. Or The Concord Quartet. Or A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers... Soon! Hugs to you, and thank you for the rating. :)
Comment: Where do I start!!! I love everything!!! I couldn't believe all the flowers, stickers, etc. you got into the pretty hummingbird matchbox. This is the first one I've ever seen. Love the garden flag, bookmark, tags (WOW) (and I did chuckle). The tree and apple you made are so cute.Hot chocolate will be good in a few months. AAANNNNDDD love the apple notebook. You outdid yourself, Naomi!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I could never have too many flower or hummingbird things.
Response: YAY, Patty! I had so much fun putting this together for a fellow teacher-type. I know most people get over the cliched cutesyness of the apple theme; however, I adore it myself. Was it tags that we had matching? Or something else? I opened your package, though, and knew I'd put the exact same of something into your package -- smile. Looking forward to swapping with you again! Sending hugs...
Comment: You are right, the dragonfly card WAS perfect for me. I really love how you sewed your tea bag pockets!! It's inspiring me to try some of that method. I enjoyed reading your note too. How neat that you went to Massachusetts for your honeymoon. That's the state I was born in and grew up in. I'll bet you went to Walden Pond (smile). I've been there once, many years ago - it's a very peaceful place! Thanks again!
Response: I wonder how you knew I went to Walden Pond? *wink* Yes -- that was the whole point of a random place like Concord for a honeymoon (colleagues' responses: "Why not Hawaii? Jamaica? Bora Bora? Concord, Massachusetts -- are you nuts?!")
I'm SO glad you enjoyed your package... I'm hoping as much as I enjoyed mine from you! Hugs to you... :)
Comment: How fun! Thank you for the Hello Kitty package. The lip balm arrived melted but It doesn't matter everything is so cute. Thanks!
Response: Oh no... I'm so sorry about that. :( I didn't think it'd still be so hot. Try putting it in the refrigerator to firm back up and let me know if that helps.
I'm so glad you liked the rest of your package, lip balm aside! :)
Comment: Another page of hearts for you I totally loved everything!!! Thank you so much for a truly special package!!!! You knocked my socks off!
Response: You're welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed the items and that you'll be able to use some for the upcoming holidays. I almost forgot to add the handmade stuffies at the last minute! Thank goodness I noticed them sitting forlornly on my craft table before I taped and uber-taped the whole package! :)
Comment: Thankyou Naomi for the lovely Whimsey Jar Pin Cushion sewing set. It is so nice and I love the pin cushion you are very creative. Thankyou Naomi for the birthday card and cat ones, it was kind and thoughtful, it was lovely to open, thankyou for the lovely material.love Jennifer.
Response: You're very welcome! The mini jar was so fun to make into a cushion, but it was so small in comparison to the regular jars that I had to add more stuff on the outside of it. So glad you liked it!
Comment: Oh wow, what a FANTASTIC package! I love everything that you sent! :o) The cupcake cases are soooo cute! The kids were so excited with them and the glo-sticks went down a treat too. Thanks so much for everything.
Response: Happy, happy! So glad it got to you eventually. I was worried about the box making it overseas for a while... So glad that you and the kids liked the package! :)
Comment: Wonderful wonderful wonderful things! The black woolly yarn looks like the kind that you can felt in a washing machine, it's always useful. The purple one is fascinating and even my fiance who normally pays no attention to yarns at all was interested in it! Can't wait to try all the sweets and teas, I'm going to save the wrappers for my scrapbook, haha! The view on the postcard is great, I wish I could visit famous landmarks like the bridge some day. The bead is very pretty, I'm going to use it for something special. And the darling little peanut butter toast! My very first felt food :-) Everything is so great! Thank you SO much for this swap and if you ever come to Finland I promise to show you everything worth seeing!
Response: I'm so, so glad you enjoyed the package. I like the sparkly purple yarn, too. Thanks for your offer -- I might be visiting next summer, fingers crossed! :)
Comment: Thank you! The jar is too cute! Now I know what all the fuss is about! The girls LOVE the rings!!! Check your PMs for your amazon code!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the jar! I was a little concerned that you might not like the red (it wasn't in your favorite colors), but the darker silhouette didn't seem to go with pink. The rings were just little trinkets for fun -- glad they can use it in their dressup play! :)
Comment: I LOVE the PEACE Fleece !! Awesome box!! Everything was so nicely packed - Thank You so much!!
Hearts & Hearts for you Naomi!!
Response: I'm so glad you love the fleece especially. I know we were going with a Snoopy theme, but when I saw the peace, and the tie-dye, and the neat fleece, I couldn't resist. Maybe a nice throw for the couch? Or you can make a no-sew fleece blanket with another piece of fleece as backing (or not). Here are some directions if you've never seen them before. And hey, a random google search turned up Project LINUS! :)
Comment: Thank you so much! I think that apple is always unique, thanks so much!
Response: Thank you! And I'm sorry the envelope was ripped. I took it to the PO and since I knew 1) they wouldn't run it through the machine and 2) the letter was going, oh, like 5 miles away, it would be safe. Nope. I'll tape the edges next time. Glad the tea and card made it, though! Enjoy!
