Description:

This is a simple swap: make a mix CD of songs that you listened to when you were in high school! Your CD needs to include at least 14 tracks (only ONE track per artist!), a track listing (with song title and artist), and a CD case to protect the CD. You will have two partners and you will send one CD to each of them. This is international since CDs are pretty cheap to mail.

To play in this swap, you need to have at least a 4.8 rating and be rated in at least three "through the mail" swaps. You probably shouldn't be offended easily either since some of the songs might be contain swear words or offensive content. If you've been rated unfairly and still want to take part, please message me. I will ban any suspicious people, known flakers, people who grace the "questionable swappers" lists frequently, and those who don't meet the swap requirements before partners are assigned. Let's keep this one friendly and flake-free. :)

Any questions? Please message me!

:( why oh why did my cd burner have to die????

ONE track per artist? I was listening to nothing but The Smiths during that time, hahaha :-)

LOL likewise, keroleen!! i'd love to join, but i'll be knee-deep in exhibition prep around the send time. :( bummer.

I started listening to decent music in about 1989 when I discovered Morrissey, The Sugarcubes and The Pixies.
So I'm going to take the embarrassing plunge and pick songs from 1986 (when I started to take an interest in popular music) to about 1988/89. I can feel myself blushing already :-)

Hey, I listened to the 80's music, and as embarassing as it may be to admit we listened to Platinum Blonde, Wham, Glass Tiger and such, it still kicks butt over anyone who grew up listening to disco!

keroleen73 03/19/2008 #

Glass Tiger - OMG, they had exactly one hit in Germany. And the singer had a squint, I remember that much :)

Glass Tiger....AHHH, I havent heard that name in years! ( & that's what got me to sign up...) Anywho, I will warn ya now, I was into hard rock/heavy metal back then ( ok, still listened to the 80's stuff too...) nothing speed or death rock, so won't blow out your ears...stuff that is on my profile, like Queensryche, Queen, etc...this sounds like it's going to be fun!

LOL I figured that it had better be only one track per artist, otherwise my poor partners would have an entire CD of Marilyn Manson! XD

Some of what I listened to was cheesy stuff! (NKOTB, Tiffany, Milli Vanilli)but none the less a guilty pleasure, now a days!

As I got older, The Beatles, Queen, Guns and Roses, Tom Petty rocked my world!
