Hmm, about me... I hate these. I'm a 31 year old California girl, lived here all my life and sometimes I want to leave but most of the time I can't imagine actually doing it. I'm single, and at the moment the closest thing I have to a kid is my 9 year old feline furbaby. I do several kinds of embroidery, I scrapbook and do a few other crafty things with various levels of skill. I love hockey, especially the San Jose Sharks, and eventually will learn to play if my friends have anything to say about it.

I love color- pink, chocolate brown, lime green and any combination thereof. I love goldenrod and maroon and deep blue. Fall colors are probably my favorite "color family".

I love the magic of the Christmas season, hate the commercialization. I am staunchly "No Christmas Before Thanksgiving" with very few exceptions. I love the lights and the music and the countdown to Christmas, but I think I prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day for the whole "magic" of it all. I'm Christian, so I'm into the whole "Birth of the Savior" aspect of Christmas, but I'm not obnoxious about it. I have my beliefs and I respect that others have theirs.

My swap ratings will be built slowly. I think swapping is fun but I don't have a lot of time for it so I will always choose my swaps carefully so as not to "bite off more than I can chew", so to speak.

I can sew, but I prefer smaller hand projects to fussy machine sewing requiring lots of careful piecing. That said, I also quilt, mostly baby quilts, though I've been working on a quilt for my bed for the last 9 years (I'm crazy and quilting it by hand, and keep putting it down for long periods.

I do several kinds of embroidery- cross stitch, blackwork, and surface embroidery (which encompasses to many techniques to list here) My mom taught me to cross stitch as a way to get me to sit still when I was little, and I've branched out from there, and do very little cross stitch anymore. -Scrapbooking
