Description:

Links are very handy when you want to direct folks to another swap, post, web page, etc. It's pretty simple, but can be tricky to remember, or remember where you found the information to begin with.

For this swap, you will comment below, and use a link. Write a sentence or two about why you want users to click on the link. Use appropriate links, and tell users where they are going.

Once partners are assigned, review the comments for your partner's comment and link, and whether the link was created successfully.

This swap will give participants practical knowlege of how to create a link. Participants can then refer back to this swap for a how to refresher.

For some reason, I find this Starburst zombie commercial funny. I haven't quite put my finger on why.

The Animal Rescue Site

My link is to rescue and feed animals, you go there everyday and click on purple button and food and care is given free.

It has great stories about rescues and also sells very cute things to help towards the rescue and care.

Looking around for art doll inspiration, I came across a blog about fairy dolls that is absolutely stunning! There is no nudity that I can see (yeah, I know, odd for fairies, right? XP)

to make a link:

type [

then type in a word or phrase that describes the link

then type ]

then type (

then type the web address for where you want to link to

then type )

spaces are allowed in the words and phrases between the [ ]

no spaces between ](

no spaces between ( )

so a link to google would look like this when type up:

[google] (http://www.google.com/)

only without the space between the ]and(

to get google

I usually go to the page I want to link to and copy the web address then type [descriptive word](then paste the address and add the closing parenthesis and voila!... linky.

If you want to learn how to crochet or just learn a new stitch, visit Crochet Cabana! I refer back to this site all the time! It's perfect for begginers!

@siouxx05 thanks! That is an amazing dishcloth. I wish I had seen it before I finished the one I am sending you in knitting kittens! I made a handtowel in a feathered and fan pattern recently which is really easy and looks great. Here is the [dishcloth] (http://www.groupepp.com/dishbout/kpatterns/feather.html) version...

if you want to use someones profile page as a link simply put a @ in front of their name. The name must be spelt right eg a quick link to my profile would be @janeengland I have come across a few people on swap bot who do not know how to make a quick profile link so since no would as used this as their comment i thought i would share how to do it.

Kind Over Matter is one of my favorite websites. It helps calm me down when I am in a pissy mood.
