Hello there,

I'm Lauren. Maker. Cat person. Snail mailer. Stamp & ephemera collector. Zakka enthusiast.

I enjoy visiting museums, working on my various collections, teaching, thrift shopping, spending time in nature, and blogging.

I am new to gardening and am currently attempting to grow a small selection of herbs from seed. Any advice/tips would be appreciated!

My favorite crafts/hobbies are crochet, embroidery, making stationery, and paper crafting. My collections include postcards, postage stamps, pressed pennies, and ephemera.

I am a big fan to television, movies, and books, but I probably watch much more TV and Netflix than I should. Some of my favorite shows are Parenthood, Downton Abbey, and Adventure Time. The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra series, True Blood, Art 21. I also love Korean dramas. My favorites are Boys of Flowers and Flower Boy Ramyun Shop.

My list of favorite films and books are long, but my favorite directors are Spike Lee, Francis Ford Coppola, and Ang Lee.

My favorite authors include Bell Hooks, Joyce Carol Oates, Poppy Z. Brite, Haruki Murakami, and Augusten Burroughs.

I didn’t want to have to post something like this on my profile, but not all of us use swapping as a fun hobby. Please do not write to me about or send me paraphernalia about your religious or political views. I do not wish to be converted to anything or lectured at. It makes me uncomfortable and I find it rude. Swapping is an enjoyable hobby for me. I like getting and sending snail mail and making people smile. Please, keep things fun and relaxed!

I always send my swaps and always put effort into reading profiles and making each swap fun for my partner and sharing any profile goodies, if I have them. If I suspect there will be a delay in my sending a swap, I will always notify my partner in advance. If you do not receive a swap from me, please message me first before rating so we can figure out if it got lost in the mail or what have you. If you don’t receive a rating from me within good time please let me know. I try to not give out any 1 ratings without contacting the person first. I live with multiple people and we get lots of mail so it may have gotten lost around the house, please let me know so that I can be sure I received your swap.
