I am a mom, witch, writer, sometime English teacher.
I really enjoy cities and wilderness, color and sound.
No favorite music. I like everything but not really into hip hop or over-produced country. Intrigued by dance music from India, don't know what you call it . . . clever lyrics tickle me. Odd or catchy tunes welcome. Great singers, intricate rhythms. Some fave artists: Loom, Rural Alberta Advantage, Alice Cooper, Nortec Collective, Lili Hayden.
Red, turquoise, black, emerald green, French blue, slate, buttery yellow . . . ivory
I am currently obsessed with knitting, especially socks. I use natural fibers unless someone I am knitting for specifically requests something else. Currently on the needles: Aguona Laptop Sleeve, Bubbly Curtain in gold linen, faceted rib socks in 2DI4 desert sun . . .
Thrillers, indies, documentaries, almost ,anything with Johnny Depp, though I couldn't stand The Dead. Pretentious Films make me run away. Was The Piano a comedy? Last great movie I saw: Slumdog Millionaire. Favorite TV shows: Big Bang Theory, Medium, Good Eats.
I don't love cute things. I now have a dog! Ricky Rosket Dog! Italian greyhound/rat terrier mix. I still don't care for cute doggie doodads, though I'm searching for the perfect ssweater pattern. I don't have many knickknacks or other purely decorative items around my house. I do love beautiful, unusual and simple things that have a function. You can never have too many candles.
Knitting tools like needles and markers, natural fiber yarn, painty pens, nice paper, dark chocolate, chiles, unusual magazines for collage, pin cushions, tape measures, beads, spices, rices . . . whatever smacks of The Place where you live . . . peacocks, spiders, owls, snakes, bats, bees.
Organic dark chocolate with chiles or herbs, CD mixes, custom blend oils, collage art, beeswax candles, massage bars from LUSH, handknit socks, handmade bags, chocolate bomb cake, bath salts.
I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb
Rowan Kidsilk haze, Mountain Colors Winter Lace, Panda Silk, Malabrigo sock yarn, beeswax or soy scented candles, handmade bath and body products, unusual honey . . . black paper suitable for gel pen use.

I received the gorgeous gold bag you made/sent and I am overwhelmed! I will have to think of a special use for it. Thank you SO much! It is much appreciated. Sparkly, shiny, wonderfulness in the mail on a gray, dreary, rainy evening is something to celebrate!
I received the teas yesterday! Thanks so much. I am glad that you are back! I've missed you. Wanna do a private swap after the Holidays?
thanx for the goodies. i got them yesterday!
Helping make someone's day a bit more colorful is why I swap. Glad you liked it, Manxkity!
Dawn - I had one of those days were you forget your lunch AND your handbag at home... So I was absolutely tickled purple to get the OMG wonderful box for our swap. You are very generous. thanks so much! huggles
Sure. Or if you'd like to do a different swap that would be cool, too. :-) Or we could make a grab-bag swap...whatever you feel like creating @ the time and sending it....We could also have a long send by date b/c in the summer lives get mush crazier(at least mine does)Let me know:-)
Hmmm. I have heard of morsbags. Don't know yet if my sewing machine works. I need to think on it.
I am trying to become plastic bagless as well. Have you heard of morsbags?I made one and it was great! Do you want to have the next swap between us be for a bag? Not necessarily sewn, but whatever your medium of choice?
Yes, I do. I'm thinking of making some new ones. I want to be plastic bagless. I've actually been working on knitting plastic bags into a tote for way too long. It is tedious and sticky. but yes.
