Update June 18th: Hi, I am currently in the middle of a family crises with my oldest son and have to really slow down on swap-bot until it gets resolved. I am also awaiting news from the nuerosurgeon on whether or not I am going to have to have back surgery later this fall. If you have tagged me for any tags could you pm me your address so I can send out your tag. I will be on checking messages regularly, I just won't be hosting any new swaps for a while. Thank you so much and I hope to hear from you.
Update March 2nd. I have slowly been getting more active, although I still seem to have little energy, but I am getting back involved more in swap bot once again. And let me tell you I am thrilled to be back. I had such high hopes for this surgery, but I have not seen much improvement in my health. It is very frustrating. The doctors told me that it could take up to a year to see improvement or that it may not make any changes, but instead just keep me from getting worse. It is all in God's hands. I don't think that I fell behind on any swaps or tags but if I have please pm me and I will gladly get them out.
UPDATE December 16th. My surgery went very well although I am still not actively swapping just yet as I have been having very bad headaches and neck pain that goes into my middle back. Being up is hard but everyday gets a little easier. So thats all for now I will change my profile information as any new developements occur. Thank you so much for all of the prayers and words of encouragement throughout this time they have really helped.
My name is Amanda. I have been dealing with health problems for the last 9 years and finally they diagnosed what was wrong with me 3 weeks ago. I was sent to a specialist because my left side kept going numb and he ordered an MRI to look for blood clots, as it turned out I don't have blood clots instead I have two neurological disorders. The first of these is called a chiari malformation. This is where the brain extends down into the spinal column blocking the flow of the spinal fluid and the nerve signals. The second condition is that I have what is called a syrinx, this is basically a hole in my spinal column. Between these two conditions all of the problems I have been having including the nausea, getting sick to my stomach, pain, headaches, dizziness, and then some are covered. The doctor can't guarantee that my problems will go away, but at least they won't get any worse. I have surgery scheduled for December 8th, so I won't be swapping for a while. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday this year and look forward to swapping again as soon as possible. I am so hoping to go back to work as an RN when all of this is over, I miss work so much!
I am 30 years old and have been married to my childhood sweetheart for over 8 years now. I live in the great pacific northwest in Washington State. I have lived here my whole life. I love to quilt, crochet, cross stitch, and read. I love having a wide variety of projects going at all times. You can just never have enough projects stashed and waiting to work on. I have known my husband since I was 10. We dated off and on all through highschool. I couldn't have married a kinder more loving man. My husband works as a machinist but is a man of many talents. He wants to go to school to be a teacher though. He was born and raised here.but I moved here when I was 10.
We have 2 wonderful children. My oldest son is 12 and is having some issues growing up, he has been very angry this last year because of my health and is terrified of my upcoming surgery so we have been dealing with some anger issues. My youngest son is 8 and still likes to be my baby, he is very close to me and loves to snuggle. YEAH!!! My youngest is in karate working his way to being a black belt.

I love so many types of books. I like humorous mystery, romance, books that involve vampires and witches, and also religous fiction. I am so not picky but love books like crazy. I am now totally hooked on books by Beverly Lewis. These books are all about the Amish and their religion and beliefs. They are also romance novels without all the details of what goes on in the bedroom. Absolutly love them. If you know of any other authors I might like please pm me and let me know. I am always thrilled to try new authors.
