Not what you'd call a people person. I seem to be categorically incapable of drawing or cutting a straight line. Good at failing to live up to my potential. Bad at self-presentation. Obviously.
I knit. I'm trying not to become a yarn snob (the poverty helps), but it's hard. I'm a bit lazy about it and have yet to try anything truly complicated. Lately I've been into making fingerless mittens and bags. I mostly stick with cd mix swaps. I am not an uber-swapper who can take on 20 at a time, but I will always send what I sign up for.
the decemberists, cursive, notwist, death cab for cutie (pre-"Plans"), modest mouse, badly drawn boy, menomena, Rufus Wainwright, pavement, dismemberment plan, muse, deerhoof, ima robot, Sufjan Stevens, tapes n' tapes, pizzicato five, animal collective, the unicorns...
The only thing I tend to outright shun is country music. No offense to those who enjoy it, it just has absolutely no appeal for me.
L.A. Confidential, Igby Goes Down, Labyrinth, Amelie, Fight Club, Clue, Pride and Prejudice (BBC of course), Dead Poet's Society, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Princess Bride, Royal Tenenbaums, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I Heart Huckabees, The English Patient, The Philadelphia Story
Watching: Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Mythbusters, Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Project Runway, Daily Show, The Venture Brothers
Still love: Veronica Mars, Wonderfalls, Buffy, Queer as Folk, Kids in the Hall, various anime series
My default channel is Cartoon Network. I have major love for Adult Swim.
Good Omens, Harry Potter, Wicked, Apathy and Other Small Victories, The Gay Science, Rosencratz and Guildenstern are Dead (technically a play)
Authors: Jane Austen, Augusten Burroughs, Kate Elliot, Lynn Flewelling, Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison, Neil Gaiman, Ayn Rand, Jhonen Vasquez, Friedrich Nietzsche, Gregory Maguire, Christopher Moore
Colors: My favorite color is blue. Lately I've been obsessed with blue-greens, but I also like purple and dark reds. I do not like yellow, orange, and most pinks or browns.
Scents: Apple, Leather, Tea, Clean scents (watery or citrusy). Don't like food scents with the exception of fruity stuff.
Edibles: Tea (mint, apricot, and earl grey are favorites), Practically anything strawberry-flavored, Dried fruit (especially mango or cantaloupe), Chocolate is okay without nuts, Cheese, Pickles, Garlic, Irish Whiskey.
Craft-wise: I wouldn't say no to yarn. I don't make ATCs and I wouldn't know what to do with ones I receive unless they were specially made with me in mind, but for that, you'd probably have to know me better than swap-bot allows. I'll always appreciate anything that's clearly had a lot of thought and care put into it.
Miscellaneous: Nail Polish, Eyeliner, and Mascara in non-traditional colors, Chapstick/Lip Gloss, Incense, Handmade bookmarks, Notecards, Things that help me organize my environment even when my brain is in chaos, Comics, Sudoku.
Things that may or may not be relevant to Swapping in any way: Warm breezy days, Driving, The smell of books, Languages (English and Foreign), The crunching of dead leaves, Playing dress-up, Psychology, Irony, Subtlety, Sleep.
Dislikes:
- Religious or Politically conservative items - You're better off staying away from the subjects altogether.
- Overly cutesy stuff - It's a fine line but if you stay away from excessive use of pink and glitter you'll probably be okay.
- Bathroom humor - I don't judge. It's just not my thing.
- Presumption.

Oh my goodness! Thank you for my lovely CD package. I can't believe you sent an extra CD (and candy!) as well. I'm off to pop one of these CDs in...although now I'm really having trouble deciding which one. Thank you thank you thank you! -Paige
Thanks so much for the very cool mixes from CD Mix PIB! I love "discovering" new bands! Your card was wonderful, too. You made me smile on a day that I didn't have a lot to smile about. ♥ Juli
