I am a middle aged woman, Poet, wife, mother of a 16 year old son, and a Waldorf Kindergarten teacher. I am a Gemini. Fav colors: purple, greens and blues, black and silver. I Love nature, animals, plants, minerals, I am Pagan, Goddess worshiper. I love cats, wild and domestic, dolphins, owls, crows and ravens. I have a macabre aesthetic, love spooky images, gargoyles, graveyards, Halloween is my fav.holiday. My sense of humor is a bit perverse, I love Edward Gorey. ( old school Goth, cut my fangs on The Cure and Souixsee) I forage wild edible food (mushroomer) and plants to make dye. Please no Disney or commercial tie ins. -I like to do collage with found and original images and juxtapose them so they create something new and provocative, a sense of irony. I am getting into digital photography. - I love working w/ fabric to make small crazy quilted scenes. I hunt thrift stores for vintage fabrics, especially SILK VELVET. - I hand dye silk w/ plant dyes, some of which I gather and prep myself. - I am a simple knitter, (scarves) I love alpaca yarn. - I am loving the medium of ATC's I am wrapping sea glass and shells I gathered here on the shores of Maui and creating jewelery.
