8-31-09: On hiatus!

I can no longer afford the joy that is Swap-bot! =[ Hopefully I can find a job and stash away enough for shipping, but at this point all I can afford is food (and not the fun stuff). Thanks to those swappers who made my short time here so special!

My name's Kim! I take pride in the fact I'm a Virgo, but not to the point that I believe everybody born around my bday has the same traits... I'm sarcastic and have been told I can be offensive, loud, and crude; I have no plans to change that. =D I'm currently a sophomore at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. I'm majoring in Accounting and living life on campus! When I'm not in school, I live in the Dallas, Tx area with my momma and 8 y/o brother Chris. I absolutely love (am obsessed with?) cows! I have a collection (shrine... =P) going and love when I can add to it!

I'm a newly-created fan of musical theater! When it comes to musicals, it's very hard to go wrong, but I'm sure I've got a lot more to hear!

I really like all kinds of music, but for whatever reason country music has never been very pleasing to me!

I don't mind explicit or extremely religious (any religion) music! And when it comes to a mix CD swap that's about YOU, don't let MY preferences hold you back!

Since middle school, I haven't been a very big reader, that is, outside what was on the reading list! But here are a few books I remember greatly enjoying:

My mother and I absolutely adore the Ocean's series (Ocean's 11, Ocean's 12, and Ocean's 13). We watch them on a weekly basis. We also love The Shawshank Redemption. Again, I love the Harry Potter Movies.

I haven't found a genre I don't enjoy! However, the recent boom of "dumb movie" comedies (usually Will Farrel... no disrespect!) has me down... I like a movie to be funny because it's clever!

I haven't been watching TV so much since I went off to school, but when I have the time I watch Gossip Girl, Secret Life Of The American Teenager (guilty pleasure), Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and Dexter.

Since I was little I've been interested in crafts! In fact, when I was very young, I organized a summer craft school out of our living room with the neighborhood kids for about a week. I love anything from simple crafts involving Popsicle sticks to more involved things. I'm very big on crocheting, I've been doing that since I was about 8. And my mother taught me how to sew, but it never really took like crocheting did. She also tried to get me into cross-stitch and embroidery. I love doing computer graphics in GIMP, I spend a lot of time on that. Again, crochet has a special place in my heart, but I would love to try every type of craft out there!

I've just dipped my feet in the inchies and ATC pools and I think I could use a little more wading! Any tips/supplies (suggestions)/ideas you have to share would be great!

I'm not really sure what to put, mostly because I'm really easy to please... But it should be a short list, so why not!

No allergies!

But you should note my brother has asthma and my mother's allergies are sensitive and she's allergic to cats and they're both sensitive to cigarette smoke, so please air out your swaps!!! And I'm afraid I won't get to use anything scented!

• Scrapbook stuff out the wazoo! Rubber stamps and ink pads, stickers, page embellishments, but most abundantly paper... 12x12 mostly!
• Sewing things, mainly fabric

• The ability to crochet you something
• The ability to make you swap cards (if you don't mind computer graphics designed by me on a business card)
