I have an emergency situation that has come up and I'm not sure what the next several days will hold for me...please pray for my son, Jayme and my grandson, Caleb! Update: For those that know about what is going on, I was not able to wait until Monday...unfortunately, and had to leave early. I've just gotten back and will be working on swaps tomorrow after I have rested. It is such a stressful situation that it leaves you mentally and physically exhausted. I promise to honor all and get them out as quickly as I am able. Caleb's mother was arrested for criminal domestic violence even after involvement by DSS. Unfortunately, my son's name is not on the birth certificate because he was born out of town while his Mom was taking care of personal matters up north. She cannot be alone with the baby and was allowed to return to the home and they are about an hour away. I just got home and may have to leave at a moments notice because of her mental state. She is bulimic and semi anorexic. She obviously has anger issues and is prone to drink heavily and it doesn't bother her to drive even with the baby. My son works 3rd shift so someone has to be there to monitor the situation when he is not home. Two of my children live close and will be helping as much as possible when school/work allows. We now have the results of the paternity test and of course, he's the father (that's kind of a duh statement lol, since Caleb is just like him. He will be going to an attorney next week to file for custody. The situation is horrible still, but hopefully, it will be ending soon! I'm sorry, but I thank you for your patience. Well, I am finally home...feels so good. My son got temporary custody of his son and is now able to bring him to me rather then me having to stay there. The mother was convicted of criminal domestic violence and only has visitation with Caleb. Unfortunately, the judge did not read the financial statement and my son is so tenderhearted that he is still with her because he knows if he moves, she will not be able to keep the apartment and the judge ruled that he had to keep Caleb in the same city rather then being able to move here. Caleb had surgery at Shriners to remove an extra thumb that he was born with and is doing great. He does have to wear a cast covering his fingers that goes all the way to his elbow on his right hand for a month, but the surgery went even better then the doctors expected :) I came home to e-mails gone wild lol. I use an e-mail manager and it went crazy so most of the mail came in blank, but I have been working to get that fixed and I also got the dreaded flu, but am feeling much better today with just a little congestion left to deal with....at least I'm hoping that is all that is left as the day progresses! I am sending a bunch of swaps that got left accidentally when I had to leave so quickly and I will be working daily to get the rest out asap. I am so sorry this happened. None will get left undone.
REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL. We make a Living by what we get. We make a Life by what we give. God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
I am from Pendleton, SC USA. I am currently looking for a job (could use your prayers please), but for now, I am a SAHM. Steve & I have 5 kids (Jayme 27, Will 22, Vivian 20, Trey 18 and Jessica 17) and 3 grandkids (Xanthi 6, Caleb 1 and Jacob 1). I love getting my family together. Jessica is the only one still at home and will be a senior in highschool this coming year. She goes to a special magnet school in order to take AP and college prep classes. Vivian and Trey are in college. Trey is in the Army Reserves as well. My kids are all pretty typical young adults. All the boys love cars and motorcycles of course. Vivian likes to do all kinds of crafts and is not into the preppy kind of stuff, but Jessica is a true preppy diva. They all sure make Mom proud though. My 6 yo grandaughter loves Disney Princess things. We also have 3 furbabies. Peanut is a 9 yo poodle that thinks he's a cat. He even cleans his paws and face. Sassy is 3 and is a rescue from a parking garage in a city nearby. She's the hunter around here and adores Peanut. Puffy is the diva and will act all detached until you pet her and then she'll fall at your feet.
Because of where I live, I have an abundance of golf balls and get more just about every day so if you need any....
We enjoy offroading, camping, hiking, fishing. Steve is building another offroader from scratch and it is really amazing to see it coming together. We also like to picnic, swim and watch movies. For Steve and I, there is nothing better then being outside. Steve is a Chemical Engineer. He loves to hunt and I love to tag along. He's still the love of my life. I call him my sophisticated mountain man. He likes chocolate, peanut butter filled oreos, camo, hats, fishing stuff and outdoor magazines
I am a Christian that enjoys gardening, crafts(crochet, cross stitch, plastic canvas, paper crafts, knitting, needlepoint), sewing, graphic design, scrapbooking, penpaling and swapping. I really love to crochet and am starting to knit again too. I can only have a small garden because of neighborhood restrictions, but I can have lots of flowers. I love doing different kinds of crafts. I have just gotten into scrapbooking and have been trying some of the scrapbook type FBs. I use paint shop pro to do graphic design. I am addicted! I use incredimail and love creating stationary for it. I also enjoy Nascar and my favorite driver is Tony Stewart. I like to cook too, well..most of the time lol. Baking would probably be my favorite. I bake bread and a variety of sweets. Steve usually thinks I'm nuts until I send a package with him to work lol.
My favorites are Christian, bears, cats, angels, Precious Moments, Teresa Kogut, Sue Dreamer, Mary Englebreit, flowers, butterflies, prim, pixels, Hello Kitty, animals and country. Dusty Rose is my favorite color, but I like pinks, yellows, purples and blues. My favorite scent is Gardenia, but I also like Magnolia, Lavender, Cinnamon, and Vanilla.
I collect things with scripture and all kinds of bears and cats. Steve says the stuffed bears are going to take over the house, but I don't usually buy anything but Ty or something that is especially cute. I can't resist any kind of cute bear or cat. Not long ago, I came across some vintage angels and, of course, I was hooked. It went from there to any kind of angel. I love precious moments, but only have a few plates that I bought on E-bay. I like to get thimbles and have a small collection of those as well as collector spoons. I love antiques and vintage items. I am always on the lookout for old glass and linens. Naturally, since I like to swap, I am always looking for cute stationary, notecards, pens, postcards, memo pads, pens or other cute items.
I like to swap Fbs, ATCs, stickers, stationary, post cards, note cards, recipes, thimbals, memo pads, pens, post cards, craft items, vintage and seeds. I like to swap different items though depending on the swap offered or I guess the mood I'm in at the time. I'm always open to personal swaps too.
I don't like gothic, pirates, skulls, witches, realistic snakes, dragons or bugs, I don't like rude sayings or anything dark and eery. I don't really celebrate halloween; although, I do like scarecrows and fallish things. I buy candy for any kids that may come by, but I don't like the traditional gouly things. I'm really not that picky, but I prefer bright and cheery things. I am allergic to aloe so even though I use makeup and enjoy bath products, I have to be careful that they don't include aloe.
I like Joyce Meyer, Jesse Duplantis, American Idol, Nascar racing, The Big Bang Theory, New Christine, Two and a Half Men, Gary Unmarried, How I Met your Mother, Monk, and Law & Order SUV.
Alternative Christian, Music, Music from the 70s and 80s, and a little country. I like Crystal Lewis, Bob Segar, Nicole Nordeman, Mandisa, Avalon, Big Daddy Weave, Steve Miller Band, Faith Hill and Cindy Morgan to name a few.
I especially love coffee, plain and flavored. I love to try new things. I enjoy most flavors of tea, hot or cold. I normally add those individual sugar free flavor packets to my water as well. My favorite soda is Diet Pepsi. I love chocolate, pretty much any kind. My favorite candy is Milky Way Midnight and Banana Laughy Taffy, but there are very few that I don't enjoy except maybe licorice. I love vegetables as well and always try to grow what I can in my garden along with lots of flowers. About the only thing that I don't like is anything really hot and spicy.
WISH LIST I would love to see a whimsy jar, fabric charms, or Dotee doll. It's easier to see the little fine details about creating one when you have them up close. I would love to have directions on making different crafts or even little tips on doing different ATCs etc. I love homemade things! I will always take any excess FBs, or, sticker bags etc. too. Can you ever have enough lol?
I always need stickers, stationary, notecards, postcards, recipe cards, craft supplies (buttons, ribbons, fabric, confetti, fibers, yarn, paints, ATC supplies, brads, rubber stamps and pads, beads, embellishments, gems, papers, etc) and any other scrapbooking items. Even if it isn't one of my "favorites", because I do ATCs and other things to trade...I still need a variety of things! I'm really enjoying learning alot of the crafts common here and the people that swap. There are really some terrific people here!
If there is a problem receiving a swap, please pm me and I will take care of it ASAP
