Hello from Wisconsin! We are known for beer & brats, cheese in every variety, the Green Bay Packers, the WI Badgers, country music festivals, WI Dells, farming, and Friday night fish fries. I live in a small town near the state line between WI and IL. I retired from teaching last year after 33 years dedicated to students with special needs. In late summer of 2014, we got the devastating news that my DH of 28 yrs had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I lost him on Easter Sunday. To cope with the grief and loneliness, I renewed my love for crafting and it has been good therapy for me. I have a grown daughter, Heather, age 24- with no grands in sight. Some of my favorites are: pink, doing DIY projects around the house, paper crafting, baking, gardening, thrifting, reading, and spending time with my pets. I love social media, esp Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram .
Themes I like: Farmers Market, woodland animals/plants ,flowers/floral designs, sewing, field guides related to nature, hearts, dogs-esp. Beagles, cats/kittens, animal lover in general, chickens/roosters, postage stamps, mail art, collage, camera graphics, reading/books/print, vintage inspired, botanical images, sunflowers, lace trim, Pioneer Woman style, French Postal-script/icons, mason jars, cupcakes/sweets, butterflies, birds, (esp. hummingbirds and goldfinches) Tim Holtz style, baking/recipes, mixed media.
Things I'd Like to Receive: Used postage stamps, old playing cards and postcards, scraps of fabric, embroidery, fun pens/stationery, travel memorabilia, tickets, clips, stickers, napkins for decoupage, charms, gelli prints, vellum, washi samples, simple recipes, coupons, quotes, old book pages/ephemera for junk journals, positive/inspirational messages, handmade envies, I'll love anything you send, because it came from the heart 💖
I've recently had a big flaker for an art journal.(Barbara Marcotte-dragonangel517) We had 2 months to work on it, so it was a major project. If you can't send out for some reason, you should at least contact the person. I would be happy to change the rating if she decides to send the swap......Another gripe I have is people who don’t bother to rate.. We have no idea if you've received it. Some people can get rude about being reminded after a week or 10 days has passed that they haven’t rated. It only takes a couple of minutes. That's part of the swap process....dont sign up if you have sending or rating problems.
