I'm Leigh, I'm 19 from Essex in England, and I'm a swapholic.

I'm studying to become a florist. I've always loved flowers and plants, but never really thought about going into a career in it, until just recently. My favourite flowers are Lillies, Azaleas and Chrysanthemums (esp. the spider variety). But what really fills my heart with joy are flower buds or plant shoots. It sounds weird doesn't it? Most people love the way a flower blooms, don't get me wrong I love that too. But, it's so nice and heartwarming to see a budding flower blooming in a world filled with concrete and wire. It amazes me. It's nice to be able to watch the whole process, rather than just the end product. I don't know. I think alot of people overlook the joys of flowers and gardening. I think it's a shame.

Also, another big thing to note is I'm a MASSIVE cricket fan. Obviously a big fan of the England team, but also support Essex as well. I think alot of people think cricket is boring. YOU ARE VERY MUCH MISTAKEN. Cricket is amazing. What other sport stops for afternoon tea? It's traditions like that, and the sport itself (and the plethora of good looking men who play- Broad and Anderson, yummy) which make it so great. One time, an american friend of mine said I was so English because of my love for tea, my love for cricket and my love for calling people pillocks. =D.

I'm Mauritian/English. I'm proud of my heritage. It's different you know? I love my grandma's cooking. I don't care what anyone else says,my Grandma makes the best curry going. Chicken curry is by far my favourite food, and the best thing is, there are so many different types and versions out there, it's my mission to try every single one. It's the most versatile food, you know? I also reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally looooooove tea. Peppermint is my favourite. But I absaloutely love any tea. Except citrus teas. I despise any citrus flavours. But if they come in a pack of like a selection, then I just give them to my mum.

My favourite colour is green. I wear it pretty much every single day, although I didn't notice until my best friend pointed it out. I mostly have green tee shirts, but I also have about 75 pairs green socks. I love socks. Everytime I go shopping, I spend about £10 on socks. I have a "collection" of about 150+ and it's still growing. I especially love the brightly coloured ones.

I love Mamegoma, Pandapple, Hello Kitty, Chi Chai Monchan and Cinnamoroll. Hello Kitty and Pandapple are my favourites. I collect stationary in these characters, and hopefully will get to use it when I get a penpal from Japan to help with my japanese study. I also really adore pucca, and out of everyone I "collect", I have the most merchandise of her =)

I'm an animal lover. I can watch films, where humans get ripped to shreds, and laugh my butt off (not really, but you get the jist). But I can't watch braveheart because in it, a horse falls over when it gets stabbed. I just burst into tears. Pure and simple. My favourite animals are Dogs/Wolves. But I also love Pandas and Horses.

I love anything mythical or fantasy. I really do. I'm obsessed with Lord of the Rings, the books and the films. My favourite mythical creatures are mermaids. I've always had an obsession with the ocean. As such I love pirates too. I love all those old pirate tales about mermaids and such. =).

I also really love the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. I love things that are funny in that sort of sense, not really slapstick or obviously funny, but the subtle things.

I wouldn't say I keep a diary. It's most definately not a day by day account of everything that has happened. That is what my LJ is for. No my notebook is just randomly filled with important quotes, poems, pictures, stickers. Mainly things that have happened or I've found or whatever, that I've loved and want to keep with me forever. I have one that is nearly filled up. I need a new one =(.

My favourite fruit is the mango. I love anything to do with mangos. The smell, the taste. I even have a mango perfume that I wear on special occasions. It's just an amazing fruit. I hate the smell of bananas, with a passion. Which is weird cos I love PJ smoothies, and they use bananas a fair amount. But I can't smell it. I don't mind eating them, I just have to hold my nose.

On the subject of smells, I love anything spicy. Not like, chillis. But nutmeg, cinnamon, 7spice. That type of thing. Christmassy smells! I love Christmas for it's smell of nutmeg and brandy. Yumm. I also adore the sent of Lavender, watermelon and Black Cherry. Hmmm I don't wear lipgloss, mainly because I think it makes me, personally (not anyone else) look a bit 12 year old. Although you can get those ones that just add a subtle shine, those ones aren't bad. I always have a fruit flavoured/scented lip balm on me. Always. Providing it's not banana. Blehck. Other than that, I pretty much always have foundation, mascara and a teensy bit of eyeliner on. You know, for that natural look.

I bento alot. For those who don't know what a bento is, its a japanese lunchbox. There are certain guidelines to follow, while packing said bento. I won't go into details, because if you're not interested there is no point. Anyway, I have a pink petit happy one =). I also have, 2 new ones on order from the Bento Obento shop on ebay. I love to cook japanese food, because while its so simple to make, it tastes the most complex. Yummy.

I love web design. If I could get my hands on photoshop, I would be doing it all the time hehe.

I have 2 dogs, two chinchillas and 1 pet rat. I nearly took in a rescue pair of chinchillas the other day, but alas I wasn't allowed. Our house is pretty big but, these animals need a lot of space.

I love storage. It sounds weird. Although I never use it (cough), I love it. I have tons of empty boxes, just waiting to be filled with stuff I have aquired =).

I love comic books too. My favourites are Fantastic Four, X-Men and Spiderman. They may seem a bit mainstream, but living out in the middle of the country, I don't have a comic book shop to run to and get the latest indie releases. It takes me an hour and a half to travel to my local one, and after that, I just want to go home.

I also really love pirates. Not just pirates of the carribbean, just pirates in general. I saw pirates of penzance when I was younger, and I loved it! So much so, that pirates are my favourite.

I'm also a bit of a history nerd. Any history and I will read it/know it. Whatever.

I speak my mind a fair amount. Well, all the time. It gets me in trouble alot at work, because if I dont' agree with something I Will tell someone. Tact isn't my best quality. I'm about as subtle as a brick in the small of your back (ten points to someone who can guess the quote ;) ). I'm also overly sarcastic and mean, but aside from that, I have plenty of friends and I know when to be gentle and caring and that. lol. and that. oh gosh i'm so ashamed.

I love peanut butter. If peanut butter and chocolate are together, than all the better. I love hershey's nut cups. We can get them in morrisons for 49p, that's like nearly $1. I don't like the nutrageous bar though. IT'd be nicer if it didn't have caramel in there. I also love kit kat chunky's with PB. I also have a real bad addiction to jelly beans. and liquorice. or liquorice flavoured jelly beans. I also really love the taste of buterscotch and every time I smell it, it reminds me of childhood memroies. With my nan. And tear it's just a beautiful work of art. I love tropical flavours, like watermelon, mango, kiwi. I also really like apple. I don't eat Orange often and I really dispise lemon, unless it's lemon and lime, or lemon with another flavour.

I'm learning to crochet at the moment. I can knit a little bit too. I also love card/postcard/atc making, needlecraft, sewing (especially cross stitch).

I love to collect a souvenir or something from my swap partners, from where they live. Then, I add it to my list of "Places to travel to".
