My months continue to be interesting:

Though I am still not as active as I would like to be with swapping, due to my limited space continuing for a few more months, another major change has occurred in my life. I am expecting my very first child. The past couple months have been exciting while yet very exhausting for this mother-to-be. I never knew how being preganant could change one's life and be so physically exhausting. I am hoping that my eating habits and energy return to normal very soon.

I still am not able to swap as much as I would like but am hoping that this will change by 2010. We are looking into buying our very first home by the end of the year. If all goes well our new home will have a craft center just for me :-) Then I will be able to let my creativity roll again. I appreciate each my fellow members and swappers and hope that each of you are doing well.

I enjoy making patchwork quilts, hand quilting, baking, weaving baskets, scrapbooking, card making and photography. I absoulutely love flowers - I believe that I inherited this from my Great Grandmother Shifflett. Lilies and roses are my absolute favorite.

Over the past two years I have developed a strong love for cupcakes. I took Wilton cake decorating classes at a local craft store and began with decorating cakes. Over the years, my passion has grown to cupcakes. Each year for each of my employees birthdays I bake a set of cupcakes, decorate and give them to that individual. It's amazing how such a small homemade treat can brighten someone's day and bring a smile to their face.

My favorite colors are earth tones / neutrals, dark purples, greens, blues, burgundy, and brights. I am not much on pastel colors, as you would be able to tell by looking at the colors I have chosen for the quilts that I have made thus far.

I obtain the most enjoyment by brightening the days of others, bringing a smile to someone's face or by helping them in some way.

I have been weaving baskets since 2000 and have made over 200 to date. I make all shapes, sizes and colors. I am hoping to update myEtsy site soon to include all that I can offer.

~Patchwork Quilts is a passion of my heart. I have been fortunate to inherit this craft and art from my Great-Grandmother Shifflett. A surprise to most, I prefer to hand quilt rather than machine quilt.

I enjoy Sewing: Quilts, Wall Hangings, Baby Quilts, Curtains as well as other crafts.

~Ever since I was a little girl, my aunt Peggy made homemade chocolate chip cookies, cakes, the icing from scratch and decorated the cakes. I remember getting to eat the icing that was left in the bowls. I also followed in my aunt Peggy's footsteps, I thoroughly enjoy baking, from scratch that is, decorating cakes and I just love cupcakes. Cupcakes are so cute, easy to make, versatile and so enjoyable! I don't know what is is about cupcakes, but I love them, am addicted to them. I prefer to make cupcakes any day over a cake! I enjoy receiving recipes from others, so I can branch out and try something new. I have found that the recipes I receive usually turn out to be some of the best.

~Scrapbooking - I enjoy putting my memories into an album for everyone & myself to cherish. For the albums will be around after I am gone.
