Who am I? Artist, mother of three children, wife, dollmaker.

What do I like (in no particular order)?

• My taste in art ranges all over: I love the work of many women artists from Cindy Sherman to Betye Saar, Judy Chicago and Sha Sha Higby. I love printmakers such as Claire Leighton and Helen Hyde. I also love the artwork of Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, Frieda Kahlo and Meinrad Craighead. I love Symbolist art and the Pre-Raphelites. I also enjoy art that spans two cultures. Much of the art above falls in that category.

• I enjoy good chocolate, hot chocolate and a cup of tea. I guess I am a bit of a foodie. I try to cook one new dish a week.

• I can't say I have a favorite color but rather I am more frequently drawn to earth tones and bright pastels. Lately, blue violet seems to be catching my eye.

• I am pagan, which to me means I think God/dess is immanent and transcendent. To connect, I spend time outdoors and hike around quite a bit. I have relationships with the deities Kali, Pan, Sekmet, Brigid and beginning relationship with Frigg.

• I am a dancer and enjoy exploring many kinds of dance. Lately, I have been bellydancing and swing dancing.

*I am living in South Africa but have a US forwarding service (and therefore postal address.) It may take a little time for items to reach across the sea.

• love plants of all kinds and enjoy learning about foraging.

don't really watch tv, but download episodes of the new Dr. Who and Glee on iTunes. I liked what I saw of Big Bang Theory.

art doll making, printmaking-usually woodcut or linocut, any fabric art. I love to jump in an explore many different crafts.

Pretty much love all of Neil Gaiman's work and writing based on mythology. I like science fiction, steampunk, fantasy and non-fiction. I dip into historical romance-like Philippa Gregory.
