I am French, 30-something and I live in Paris... and also on the French Riviera near Nice.
I got married in 2007, but my job is still in Paris and my husband's is in Nice - thus the 2 hometowns... You can have a look at both on the blogs I created for the My World in Pictures swap in Dec. 2008 (click on the links above).
Moineau is French for the "House Sparrow" bird. It's an old nickname.
I was born & raised in Britanny, that's the Atlantic NW peninsula of France. I've always lived by the sea, including for 18 months in Seattle, USA.
I love the sea, flowers, birds... In fact, it's my job since I work in environmental law (mainly industrial clients, no crazy eco-lover here).
I love to cook, though I have to admit that my husband is a better cook than me (he is truly amazing). I love chocolate and roasted chicken, I hate vinegar and can't drink a drop of alcohol... which is kind of anti-social in France ;)
I love sewing and embroidering, though I still need a lot of practice to make things perfect. I am not super patient and I like small projects because I need to see them finished ;)
I mainly sew small house-things such as pouches and bags, and children clothes for my nieces.
I do traditional embroidery (cross-stiching bores me to death), mainly flower patterns or simple things like stars and words.
I also started knitting in Late 2008 and I am hooked! Huge fan of Norwegian and Aran patterns.
Jazz (I am a fan of Diana Krall) and songs that have a meaning, from campfire songs to slam and rap ;)
Blue and green
Vintage Liberty fabric, especially those where you can recognize the actual flowers on the print
Soy candles
Beatrix Potter, beanie babies (dogs and cats), Bollywood glamour
Chocolates, especially the praliné-filled one
Tchai tea, and other teas we can't find in France: Lipton Vanilla/French vanilla, cranberry herbal tea...
Stamps from all over the world
Ribbons and embroidery threads
Scandinavian things - including Tone Finnanger/Tilda, Ottobre... - : my husband is half Norwegian and I am totally in love with anything Norway ;)
Hello Kitty, kawai, mangas and Japanese cartoon-like characters
Rosewater and anything rose-scented (smells like the rotten flower to me)
Anna Geddes pictures (sorry, those newborns are not cute, yet)
TV Shows: - Desperate Housewives - Ghost Whisperer - Grey's anatomy - Ugly Betty - Kyle XY - Monk - Hercule Poirot - NCIS
What? How about French ones? Huh let's see: - Une femme d'honneur - Cordier, père et fils - Famille d'accueil
Books/authors - Jane Austen & William Shakespeare - Nicolas Evans & David Guterson - John Grisham & Mary Higgins Clark - Sophie Kinsella & Helen Fielding - Maeve Binchy & Oscar Wilde - Maupassant & Jean Raspail - Marek Halter & Philippe Labro and so many others, I love reading

Moineau: I have known for years that there are many wonderful people in this world, and a lot of them are right here on Swap-bot. Your kind and generous offer to join a group of special angels --- helping me to make and send a total of 210 handmade ornaments for those who were flaked on in the MEGA Christmas 2009 Ornament Swap --- is VERY much appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. If I can ever do anything to help you out in return, please let me know. (“;) Hugs, Terry
