I'm an artist/ educator, I teach art to middle schoolers and have grown to really love my job. I also coach soccer and volleyball.

I am a person that can be nobody else but herself. I'm from all over and love variety. Some may call me a bit strange but I just look at it as having a selective editing button.

I have two dogs, Rizzie and Louie, they are spoiled rotten. My girl is a mixture of terriers and my boy a little yorkie poo. I have no children of my own so my doggies and students are my children right now.

I grew up an army brat and lived in Alabama, Korea ,Missouri, Texas, and now live in Georgia. Even though I am very patriotic I really love things that are from other countries especially Asian and African countries.

I never go anywhere without my IPod. I will turn around for it. I love new music and stay on the search for something new to listen to. Something new for me may be whats old but hey its new to me. Faves- The Roots, Mos Def, Sea and Cake, Erykah Badu, Santigold, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Nina Simone, Radiohead, The Specials, Stereolab, DJ Shadow, The Black Keys. I'm all over

I love to read books written in first person, and anything about religion, but my guilty pleasure comes from reading children's books. I have listened to and read Alice in Wonderland several times over. I am currently reading Linger another teen werewolf set of books. I read Twilight, and Harry Potter, and the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I guess I really like fantasy.

I also like reading stories about young African American women and thier lives. Color Puple, 27 Candles, The Darkest Child

Daniel Pink is genious Freakanomics was fun too. I get into reading things for brains sake and for the socially aware side of me.

The only magazine that I read regularly is Relevant, its awesome. Otherwise magazines sole purpose for me are to be used in my art.

My personal art is a play between 2D and 3D I like to build up my paintings. I love all mediums from newspaper to oils. I go through knitting and sewing spurts too. but right know Im working on building a portfolio to go back to college. Gots to get that MFA!

ATC's are my newest creative force and they have inspired my latest works. Yay!! Its hard not being in the art world sometimes. I like receiving ATC's that are clever and well made. Its like Christmas everytime I open my mailbox lately, but I hate receiveing ATC's that look like nobody loved on them a little before sending it out. I don't have a favorite color, b/c I think every color has a purpose. I'm not so much a fan of things that are overly pink though.

My work mainly is an exploration of forms and shapes, I love the female form, textures, stitches, blended colors, and emotions

Patterns are awsome!

I'm a reality tv junkie, I use them to numb the brain a bit after a rough day at work. But also Lost, Six feet under, Dead like me, King of the Hill, everyone loves raymond, Once Apon a Time, Army Wives .

Overall, I can't say I'm too hard to please, little things make me happy. I'd like to receive what ever you think is a special gift from you. I love, like, or get tickled by: textures contrasting colors patterns silver hand drawn stuff well composed collages stars fish orange different papers layers

I woul love to receive: beads or other jewelry findings colored pencils punched out circles punched out stars papers stamped with your best stamps music sheets pages from books that are not in English magnets gel pens of various colors

This is the profile of the students in my schools art club. They are my ART WARRIORS!! Please help use out, budgets for the arts are getting smaller and smaller.

This year I've got a good group we are working on a mural outside of my classroom.

They are middle school children ages 11-15

They love basketball, music primarily hip hop or old school, temp tatoos, stickers, ribbons, designs from other countries, glitter, animals

they would love to receive things from the above lists and this stuff to use in thier artwork and ATC's: vogue pictures, ribbons, buttons, thread, pictures to work with

Things that are holiday themed especially all the overly cute and cheery ATC's that show up around Valentines and Christmas. I don't mean to be such a scrooge about it but I really just don't enjoy receiveing those ATC's, I want ART!!! I don't sign up for those swaps because I dont want holiday themed ATC's

Overly pastely pink things, Unloved on ATC's (just a sticker on a piece of paper), people who flake out on a swap
