================================================== I am proudly South African now living in Northern Ireland. My friend Ruth from Australia introduced me to swapping. My first swap was a Knitting Coffee swap hosted by Knittymama (http://knittymama.com/).It was great fun - but a bit expensive and South African postage took long. I wanted to continue swapping but in a less stressful manner.Knittymama recommended Swap-Bot. That is how I got here.
What I love about swapping is being challenged to do new things, doing things in a different way, recognizing others creativity and visa versa. I do it to be inspired, to grow as a person and to meet new people. I have enjoyed making new friends, e-mail pals and Blog friends.
Health, exercise, Digital Scrapbooking, Photography, blogging, knitting, children's crafts, books, music, spirituality, psychology, education, traveling (only been out of SA four times (5 places in Africa) and off the continent twice.)Love road trips and camping, explored a lot of South Africa. Personal Growth issues. I love reading and writing poetry.Movement (Brain Gym,Belly Dance etc...)
Favorite symbol: Butterfly Favorite colour: Blue (all shades, hues etc...) Favorite Authors: Martha Beck (I own three of her books)and Leslie Kenton (own 2 of her books). Favourite places: Waterfalls, Forest Rivers, Library, coffee shops. Favourite flavors: coffee, vanilla, French vanilla, Irish cream (I miss that milk from the USA - loved making non-alcoholic coffee),ginger, honey bush, caramel fudge, mint, lavender (lovely in short bread), Durban Indian curries. Fragrances: lavender, sea, rose, magnolias, spring and summery types (dislike musk).
I participate in postal and electronic swaps. I prefer electronic swaps because of the cost factor and disappointment of not receiving something is less painful.
I will try most things at least once.
I have one daughter( turned 7 on 13 February 2008) and I have been married for 8 years.
Hearts, butterflies and stars (stickers, paper etc.)
I like sample stuff eg. tea (only herbal and flavored green tea), coffee (I still sneak cup now and then),soaps, creams, perfumes etc....
Patterns for knitting
Recipes: Vegetarian (even though I eat meat, I am fussy and don't eat certain meats at all), baking, DESSERTS, low-fat, low GI.
Exercise and movement(especially if it enhances learning and personal growth). Interested cds, books, on-line info, pamphlets, DVD's etc
Any yarn (suggested knitting projects or pattern with it would be highly appreciated)
Romantic novels, poetry, non-fiction, feminism, personal development books.
Really like incense sticks (no musk aromas), bath salts and aromatherapy items.
Love photographs of scenic areas, tourist stuff, artistic. If you send me a digital photograph please let me know if I can put on my blog. Always looking for stuff that I can add poetry too or that helps me express a thought.
One day I would like a herb garden, but I am not the gardening type. I do have some mint and lavender.
Like trying to make my own beauty masks, baths and remedies.
