I am a condo dweller, married, and have 2 grown children. I love to travel near or far, by car, plane, train or ship and to sightsee wherever I am.

I enjoy most musical genres including classic rock 'n' roll, musicals, spirituals, jazz, big band, bluegrass, folk, western, cajun, classical, easy listening, native American flute and drum and mood sounds.

Listening to books on tape while I'm in my sewing room helps me to find more "book" time. Currently, I enjoy reading and listening to all kinds of mysteries, quilt stories, and reading travel magazines and cookbooks.

I do not watch a lot of movies, but enjoy most types of film except horror and "dumb" comedy.

I like to watch reality tv shows when I have the chance: My favorites are: Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, Top Chef, So You Think you can Dance, Project Runway, Ace of Cakes and my very favorite-- The Amazing Race. Castle, The Mentalist, CSI and I also enjoy the two public television stations in our greater Seattle area.

I am a quilter; just an amateur still, but very much enjoying going on "shop hops" both in my car, and online, gathering fabric for my stash, and sewing with a friend. Currently, I have four or five each table runners and quilts in some state of production and many more quilt ideas than I'll ever have time to execute.

In my creative moments, I have tried many different kinds of crafts, but have really continued to sew since Jr. high, and to make and stamp cards for several years. I am not into purchasing all the "latest and greatest" gadgets or the newest stamp sets, but try to use what I have available. I also am trying to do better at both my knitting and crochet!

I collect "sunshines" of all kinds--artwork, ceramics, kitchenware, pictures, cards; but have decided that I might need a self-help program to not gather anymore, as my home is filled! I also collect postcards, from my travels and those written on and sent to me.

In no particular order I enjoy: ribbons & ties for card-making, Hello Kitty, cotton fabric, asian-inspired things such as origami paper, kimono, ginko, parasol and chrysanthamum prints (for card-making), small decorated boxes and various other card embellishments such as die cuts. Also Santa Claus, tea, chocolate, whole grains, herbs and spices, calm nature pics, 100% beeswax candles, yarn.

I do not like: licorice, religious items, kawaii, goth, punk or hip-hop.

If I'm outdoors, I enjoy camping, hiking with friends, gardening (though not much chance now in my condo) and going letterboxing and to an annual star party (with amateur astronomers).

My favorite colors are all greens, yellows, rusts and brown/black, and oranges/tans, but I enjoy making projects for friends and family in their favoite colors. My favorite season is Christmas, with Halloween a close second.
