I never know what to say about myself! I'm 30, And I love, love, love getting letters in the mail. I enjoy traveling, though I've really only been to the US and Europe. I'd love to go even further afield!

I'm a voracious reader! I've rarely met a book I couldn't find something to like about! Mostly, I read literary fiction and mysteries, but I have a deeply-rooted love of Russian literature. My very favorite book is "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov, but I could go on for days and days about my small army of favorite books.

I am not a huge movie-goer, I go about a dozen times a yer, but I get all of the movie channels, and I end up watching a lot of movies once they come out on cable. Lately, I've been enjoying a lot of brat pack and zombie movies, but that could change at any time. ;)

I am not too multi-craftual. Most of what I do is yarn related:
- Knitting, mostly small-gauge, fingering and lace weight. Heavy yarn just feels awkward to me.
- Spinning, on a wheel (I pretty much suck on a spindle) I mostly work with wool, but have been experimenting with things like bamboo and milk fiber lately.
- Crochet, I mostly crochet with thread, and I like the really complex lacy stuff.

I love to write and receive letters, though I don't really have the time to take on any new pals. I'd be happy to exchange one-off letters, though.

I try very hard to live a clutter-free lifestyle, so I really like everything in my house to be both useful as well as beautiful. Here's some stuff I like:
- Vintage fountain pens (especially the ones made of really colorful and distinctive celluloid)
- fountain pen ink
- Tea, especially black tea, but I'll drink all kinds :)
- kitchen towels, the tea-towel kind, not the terry-cloth kind. I'm always on the lookout for linen. Linen towels are hard to find in the US, so I try to pick them up when I visit Europe
- letter sets, correspondence cards
- blank recipe cards
