I live west of the Rocky Mountains and love sewing, particularly quilting. I have quilted for 10+ years and have a small business designing quilt patterns and teaching classes. I llove 30's fabrics and gravitate towards brighter colors (reds, robin egg blue and soft purples and yellow) although I do like civil war fabrics. I also love to embroider and love to do hand work such as hand applique and hand quilting.

I love reading, I do wish I had more time for it. My favorite books are histroical fiction. Some of my favorite books are 'Count of Monte Cristo' 'The Alchemist" ' Follow the River' and Gone With the Wind." I also read alot of childrens books because I am a reading tutor at our school. 'Waking Beauty' is hysterical!

I like to do many crafts. I sketch, paint (acrylics), sew, crochet, scrapbook and most of all quilt.

I love to give gifts and surprizes and share my talents. Perfect for being a swapper. Right?

I am a Wizard of Oz and Wicked fan(ok not a movie) and I have seen Gone With the Wind too many times to count. Love the costumes and the nasty Scarlett! I love vintage movies such as the original 'Women,' 'Hello Dolly' and anything with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye or Bob Hope.

Gotta have my 60's sitcoms! Andy Griffith, Bewitched and Gilligan's Island are my favorites. I have to admit also that I watch alot of the hisory channel and discovery channel. I also secretly like Ghost Hunters especially the international ones.

I have 4 children (my youngest is 14) and a wonderful hubby. We have 2 sweet little girl dogs and two rough and tumble boy puppys. They are all shitzu mixes although Mazie looks like a wire hair terrier.

I am really not a fan of anything gold or gold colored (except the real thing). I don't enjoy coffee or tea but love sweets, especially chocolate and taffy. I love birds and items with birds on them. (no birdhouses) I really love listening to them sing outside my windows in the spring and summer. I enjoy sweet fruity type scents....No musky or rose scents. I love pansies and daisies and love to go to the beach.

I was recently asked about my home decor so here goes a little bit more about me...my kitchen is red, living room plum,purple, yellows, reds and room sea blue with beachhouse theme. My sewing room, however is Wizard of oz, red, yellow, and green.

I just want to let everyone know that I understand that the mail system is not perfect but I have had too many people that are supposed to send to me that claim that the mail lost their item and they will resend. I appreciate resends although if I do not recieve anything (even the resend) within 3 weeks of the swap ending, please do not expect me to rate you any higher than a 3. ( Unless of course you are sending from a remote area half way around the world) This expectation should not be too high. I hope you all understand and have fun swapping!
