I am a worker bee who loves doing crafty things with my spare time. I signed up because I love getting things in the mail. I'm also very excited about having more reasons to send crafty things of my own to other people. Mostly I do paper crafts but I also sew and knit/crochet. I love gardening, lillies are my favorite flower, but I love almost all plants.
I love all kinds of things. I usually prefer cool colors over warm ones. I like things that look simple, not busy. I love geometric floral prints(like Amy Butler style). I enjoy vintage postcards and old stamps. I like math puzzles and I enjoy trying different flavors of tea. I like cute animal drawings; my favorite animals are llamas. I collect fun fridge magnets. I love nature, anything to do with beautiful natural places in all types of climates I love.
I am a big fan of sports and would love anything connected to any of these sports: Ladies figure skating, Cycling, Jazz Basketball, Colts Football, Motocross, or any Olympic events. I'm not personaly that athletic but I just enjoy the drama of athletics...cheesy I know.
My reading interests are pretty broad, my all time favorite author is John Steinbeck and I guess I sort of lean towards classics. My favorite contemporary author right now is probably Daniel Handler, he is the real Lemony Snicket; his book Adverbs is just wonderful, his way with words makes it my favorite kind of thing to read. A short list of my other favorite authors would be Charles Dickens, Douglas Adams, Roald Dahl, Pearl Buck, JD Salinger, Daniel Quinn.
See my list of favorite sports above, usually that is what I watch on TV. I also watch a lof of PBS and the world news channel. I really enjoy Project Runway, and hoarding shows. I don't know what it is about the hoarding shows but I can't pull myself away...It has inpsired me to get rid of a lot of my junk lately.
I really like a lot of music. Some favorites, Dwight Yoakum, Cake, The Grateful Dead, Rancid, the White Stripes, Bad Religion, Johnny Cash, The Clash, Ramones, Tom Petty, Bedouin Soundclash. I really go in streaks and listen to the same thing for weeks then switch to something else, I like Classic style country, old punk, 90s alternative, soft rock that isn't ballady, and things that are catchy to sing a long to while I'm driving.
Specialty papers, cute pens or pencils, and any cute crafting materials in general.
Specialty candies from your area.
For international swaps anything to do with any of the cycling grand tours or classics, like any promotional stuff for the races or any cycling teams. I'm totally absorbed in it right now and we don't get any of that over here.
