About Me

I am a full time engineer and a part time: henna artist, painter, calligraphier, book binder, yogi, movie buff, reader, snowboarder, and enabler...and one day maybe a part time/full time writer (I've got some ideas and I'll either write a kick ass AD&D module or a novel...we'll see!) Basically, I love art, crafty projects and am always working on something!

Favorite Books

Laurell K. Hamilton (Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series), Kim Harrison, Sherrilyn Kenyon (Dark Hunters series), Kelly Armstrong, Katie MacAlister, Charlaine Harris, Mary Janice Davidson, Yasmine Galehorn...there are so many more...I love to read. I'm more of a sci-fi/fantasy reader than non-fiction, but I have read "Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell...and I want to read more about the Yoga Sutras.

Favorite Music

Just about anything...except country, some heavy metal, heavy rap (basically the extremes).

Styles: reggae, calypso, r&b, hip-hop, pop, rock, bollywood/hindi,k bellydance music, middle eastern music...

To name of few of my favorites: No Doubt, Lenny Kravitz, Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Lilly Allen, Distrubed, Rage Against the Machine, En Vouge, Aerosmith...the list goes on...

Favorite Movies

My Fair Lady, Pretty Woman, Knight's Tale, Princess Bride, Khabi Khusi Khabi Gham, Monsoon Wedding, Water Boy, The Mummy, The Matrix, Star Wars (original trilogy), Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter...

Favorite Crafts

Bookbinding, collecting and sending postcards, crocheting, viking wire knitting...and now ATCs =)

Other notes

My favorite color is BLUE...all shades, but especially cobalt, ultramarine, deep blue, teals, ocean color...and I also like red, purple, fushia, basically jewel tones...

Other favorites: -Asian themes -my favorite flower is the LOTUS =) -FLEURS (fleur de lis)

Learning about things...places, people, culture, art...art techniques...

I like a lot of stuff and just wish I had more time to work on EVERYTHING...but since that isn't the case (as with many people, I'm sure) I rotate things that I work on. Right now...the flavor of the month is...ATC's and crocheting =)
