Pleased to meet you! I'm 44 (I think, I always have to count, lol!) I'm from a small country town with no stop lights, and live on a winding country road where everyone still hangs there clothes on the line to dry. I live in my Grandparents farmhouse, and have been happily married to the man I went on my first date (a blind date) with 28 years ago. We have 3 teenagers, including a set of twins, 3 hunting dogs (redbone coonhound, german shorthair pointer, and beagle), several "barn cats", and a pet skunk that has run of the house. (Sadly, Tucker the skunk passed away at Easter time, we've had him for 9 1/2 years, which is a long time for a skunk to live, we miss him something awful.) I love animals, being outdoors, gardening, painting (usually acrylic landscapes), camping, putting together theme parties, family and kids, feeding the birds, shopping for craft supplies or fabric, flea markets and yard sales, craft and antique stores, fancy antique dishes that are colored glass or have flowers on them, bookstores (anything on crafts or art, getting organized, cookbooks, happy living, trashy novels), tea parties complete with antique tea cups, magazines on crafts or art or gardening, attending the kids sporting events, and creating just about anything, trying a new craft is always inspiring and fun. I am also a coffee-aholic, and never sit still for very long (could it be the coffee??). I love everything and anything homemade, and am inspired by and treasure anything made by someone else.

I DON'T LIKE . . . ummm . . . cleaning (everything else is so much more fun, haha!), wearing shoes (I'm usually barefooted), japanese or asian stuff, anything overly cutesy (don't care for Hello Kitty or Kawaii).

My favorite music is bluegrass or folk music. My favorite groups or singers are Crooked Still (a folk group from Boston), Allison Krause, John Denver, the Morgan String Band (a local bluegrass band), Merle Haggard or any old country.

Pretty Woman, Wizard of Oz, Under the Tuscan Sun (I usually let this play while I'm painting), The Girl with the Pearl Earring, all the Harry Potter movies, Because of Winn Dixie (mostly because I love the garden), Secret Garden, any sappy love story with a happy ending.

Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Friends, Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray, Emeril Lagasse, just about anything on HGTV, Trading Spaces, Beauty and the Geek, American Idol, anything DIY, and anything on the CREATE channel. I don't watch soaps or sci-fi.

Painting (mostly acrylic, but I also enjoy oils and watercolors, and one of my favorite weeks of the year is the MAD Painting Conference in the Poconos, what fun!), Crafty Woodworking and signmaking, Decoupage, Sewing , Book Altering, Journaling, & ATCs , Rubberstamping, Scrapbooking, Card making, Beading, Gardening, Decorating with antiques or anything vintage or primitive, Decorative painting, Cake decorating (my sister treated me to a cake decorating class in Atlanta with Nicholas Lodge, who made one of Princess Di's wedding cakes, what an experience that was!) and making pretty cookies and desserts.
