Favorite Music

On March 9, I will be admitted into an Eating Recovery Center so I can heal my body and get my weight back up. This place is like a rehabilitation center, so please try not to send stuff that would not be allowed in such as anything sharp, possibly hazardous, something you could possibly hide things in, or food. Certain swaps I have signed up for, I have purchased or made the items early so I can still be a part of it. If you have to send something that could possibly not be allowed in the center it's totally fine! I look forward to it when I get out! Yay, motivation! Thank you! And don't worry, all swaps will be sent out on time. If you have any words of affirmation or quotes, those are huge here and I'd love to receive any!

If you don't get a swap from me, let me know and I will gladly send you another.

ATTENTION: Sorry, I just found out that all of the packages that I gave to the hospital staff to send out weren't sent at all and ended up being lost. I just got released and I will make you all new ones. So sorry about that!

I LOVE musicals; folk/pop artists such as Jack Johnson; Mumford and Sons; He is We and I also really like Owl City and Cher Lloyd, but those are the only people with that style of music that I really like.

I love Christian music and solo piano and I also like Taylor Swift; Celtic music; soundtracks; and I listen to Christmas music all year round!

I also REALLY love big band jazz music from the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s.

I like Steam Powered Giraffe, and if you have never heard of them you should!

Favorite Books

I love to read and I am a huge fan of the classics, such as C.S Lewis, J.R.R Tolkien, H.G Wells, Charles Dickens, Victor Hugo, Charlotte Bronte, Edgar Allan Poe, Jules Verne, Oscar Wilde, Rudyard Kipling, Shakespeare, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, J.M Barrie, and Lewis Carroll.

I like modern authors such as John Green,William Joyce, Rainbow Rowell, J.K Rowling, and I'm looking for more authors on all spectrums to read!

I like cute mangas and I like Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield, and Curious George.

Favorite Movies

I am a HUGE movie buff, and I love classic movies, movie musicals, action movies, cheesy Hallmark movies, dramas, foodie movies, documentaries, animated, family friendly and nerdy movies! Even genres I haven't posted on here I love too! I especially love a movie that captures the imagination and also movies with good history in it too!

I DO NOT like horror, thriller, paranormal, or anything like that. My anxiety has a feast over those movies.

Favorite Television

I love Agents of Shield, The Flash, Arrow, Big Bang Theory, Penguins of Madagascar, Adventure Time, Teen Titans, Doctor Who, and Once Upon a Time!

I have almost a daily ritual where I watch Dr. Phil, Ellen, and Dr. Oz, and sometimes Rachael Ray everyday!

If there is a show related to it, I probably love it too!

Favorite Crafts

I am a HUGE crafter and will try almost anything I see on pinterest!

I love to crochet all sorts of things from stuffed animals, to sushi, to hats and scarves of all sizes! I mostly crochet free style by just looking at a photo or draw it in my head, but the especially hard ones I use a pattern. I can never have enough yarn and crochet hooks, knitting needles and accessories!

I am really big into Steampunk and I make my costumes for conventions! I also try to dress up as Steampunk as much as I can!

I love to draw in sharpie, colored pencils, conte' and charcoal, and I love to paint water color and acrylic. I am running really low on supplies for these! IF YOU GIVE ME GEL PENS, I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER

I'm huge into the film industry, and love to make videos and take photos, mostly of wild life and plant life.

I love to make things out of old books including oragami, book boxes, and even chandeliers!

I like to sew, but my sewing machine sucks so if I do ever sew, its by hand.

Making candles and soap are more of my mothers thing, but I like to join her!

I like to decorate jars and cups and use them for all sorts of things!

I LOVE to cook and eat and enjoy food that my body will let me digest!

I love to tinker with anything and everything! I find taking apart something and creating something else with it quite enjoyable!

I have thousands of can tabs that I like to make stuff such as armor and chandeliers out of!

Things I also like to make: Inchies, shrinky dinks, gigantic popsicle snowflakes, sharpie mugs, melted crayon art, glue art, mosaics,

Other things I enjoy

Other than the things that I make, and needs posted above, which I would love to receive, I like

I have a ton of sensitivities to foods. I need to stay away from: wheat, dairy, soy, corn, rice (every once in a while so I don't become allergic to it), peppermint, most grains except for buckwheat, eggs, nuts, peppers, spicy food, anything with fat, oil or grease, bell peppers, tomatoes, anything hot, non lean meats, high citrus things, candy, or anything processed. (I have a lot of digestive issues) I also can't have things with high amounts of protein in them. It sucks because almost ANYTHING healthy has high amounts of protein and I also need to gain weight and all high calorie health foods has high amount of protein. can have: Sprouted seeds, most vegetables, lean meats, fruits, seaweed, rice on occasion, buckwheat, potatoes, stuff on the paleo and gaps diet as long as they don't have anything in the list above.

I am obsessed with baby food, GoRaw Granola and Pumpkin bars (or just GoRaw products in general) and if you send those in I will love you forever! Also the fruit bars with fruit or vegetables. Bananas and seaweed are my favorite things in the world.

If you send me food, make sure it has a list of ingredients please!

About Me

Hi, I'm Joelle and I am a senior in high school, though I am home schooled because of some major health issues, mainly with my whole digestive system, a severe case of Osteoporosis, and I have high anxiety and ADD and ARFID (Avoidance/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).

I love the theatre especially musicals, and before I had health issues I would be in plays all the time!

I play the piano and like to compose, I also play the guitar and I'm obsessed with music boxes!

I hope to be in the film industry someday but I want to do Naturopathy on the side along with my mother.

I have two cats, so if you have an allergy, let me know. I've also been away from them for a while so I don't think any allergies could affect anything.

I love anything and everything, and I always think it's the thought that counts.

If you want to send in clothes, I am a size xs because I am only 5 feet tall and weigh only 75 pounds.

I am new to this, so please be patient, but I promise to send everything in on time!

Please message me if anything goes wrong before you send in a rating and hopefully we can get things worked out.

If you have a Pinterest, follow me, and maybe that will get you to know more about me too!

Comment: We had 3/4 of a year to work on this swap and as of today I have not received anything from you. The swap deadline date was September 25th. I see you were online on September 14th. But I didn't receive any notification at that time that that you might be late. I will send you message today, October 17th, just to follow proper protocol. I'll change the rating to a 3 if I ever receive the swap and it's done properly. I hope all is well.

Comment: I got my package yesterday, and I'm so pleased! I'm from the USA but live in UK, so I miss a lot of American things, and one of those is grape-related foods. They don't really have them here as black current flavor is more popular, and I hate it. So, the grape combined with the chewy fruity snacks you sent was perfect for me. You rock!
Comment: What made this swap so special for me was your creativity with "World Compliment Day", with the compliments wrapped in the rings! Thanks so much!

Comment: I received your resend and I thank you for 6 decorated matchboxes -- the snowman being my favorite. I do want to remind you that the swap rules were for one winter themed matchbox filled with winter themed items. Please don' send again as you did make 6 boxes and you spent so much money for postage.
Response: I looked back at the swap page, and you are right, I miss-understood the swap, and I am sorry. I'm glad you liked the snowman!
Comment: Very nice package, love the little crocheted bag and "candy". Already ate the pistachios. No heart as you marked shipped on 1/26 and we both know you didn't ship on that date, as you let me know it would be late. Don't mark something as shipped if it isn't.

Hello and welcome to swapbot! I am similar in age to you- I'm nineteen and graduated high school in 2013!

The only way to avoid having to send internationally is to only join US swaps! The host of a swap has no say in the matter - partners are assigned electronically. :o)
