Hi there! You'll notice from my ratings that I took quite a long "break" from swap-bot. (more than three years!!) But I'm now in a place where I can spend more time doing crafty things, and would like to slowly get back into the community. I'll probably limit myself to one swap at a time, since I have a tendency to get carried away with exciting new projects! I am committed to sending and rating on time.
Office-gal by day, artsy gardener-hippy by night!
I'm a huge science/biology/nature geek, I love plants and animals of all kinds, even (especially!) the ones that most people hate like bugs and rats and snakes. I love trees and beaches and forests and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. I like playing with math and geometry, letters and numbers. Mushrooms are the coolest thing on the planet, IMHO.
I'm also a shameless hippy - I'm totally into crazy woo-woo like astrology and tarot and crystals and fairies. I'm a sucker for stories about magic and mythology and the supernatural.
Favourite colours right now are blue, indigo, silver, violet. But I really do like all the colours!
I'm mostly interested in swapping ATCs and other handmade things. I definitely think that originality and creativity are more important than technical skill! I want to listen to the story that your art tells, and I will try to keep my inner critic from interrupting.
I watch a lot of cartoons! Big fan of South Park and Adult Swim, which appeal to my warped sense of humour. Love anime, currently into the Monogatari Series, Fairy Tail, Madoka Magica.
Weirdness is good. I'm not offended by "dark" or "adult" themes. (kind of drawn to them, actually!)
Regifting: I don't have a problem with "re-gifting" in either sense... I'm okay with receiving second-hand things (in fact, I like objects with history) and I won't be offended if you pass on something that I send to you.
ATCs: I'm not picky about size, irregular shape, and if it has chunky bits hanging off it I'm okay with that. I don't (yet) have an album for my ATCs, and if I ever get one I will probably make a special section for irregulars :)
Hearts: I always go for the heart. But I'm committed to not stressing about the heart. I think the heart is an illusion. What is real was the feeling that inspired the heart, and that is what I am really after :)
