Hi, I am a mom of 2 girls: one 13 year old and a 2 year old. I am married to a career Army soldier. I have been living in Washington state for 8+ years. I have a BS in Forensic Chemistry with minors in French and Biological Sci.

My favorite music includes Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Alison Krauss, Dean Martin, Soundgarden, Audioslave CHRIS CORNELL! and really all types of music.

I love reading. It is mainly what I will do when I have free time. I like to read pretty much anything and always have since I learned when I was a kid. Most of my presents from relatives as a child were gift cards to the book store. I like browsing for hours and making a serendipitous discovery. Currently I have read many detective, supernatural, and young adult series and read the newest as they are published. Some favorites are Southern Vampires (Charlaine Harris), LK Hamilton's Anita Blake and Merry Gentry, JD Robb In Death, Harry Bosch (Michael Connelly) and many more.

I watch Amazing Race, Bones, House, Fringe, Heroes. I liked Journeyman but NBC canceled it. Pushing Daisies is fun. Carnivale, Deadwood, Californication are good too.

I like Cary Grant movies. Katherine Hepburn is good. I pretty much just like going to see any movie that looks interesting. I like Will Smith's movies too.

I mainly quilt. I also have some scrapbooking inclination since I love taking pictures of my kids and places we have been. (Travel is also a fave). I want to learn how to do watercolor painting and have a room full of craft supplies for any type of project my 13 year old or I could think of doing.

I collect United States Patriotic items. Examples are a George Washington tobacco tin, a 7-UP and Pepsi bottle from the bicentennial, Liberty bells, Statue of Liberty. My Christmas tree is historical figures/ patriotic ornaments. Red, white and blue!

Also coins, stamps, MAP postcards (country, state, province, city, region) , patches.

State Map PC I do not have:

The state PCs I have are the basic state map outline with seal or other symbols. I would be interested in states I already have if they are map cards with say for example a ND Lewis and Clark map card or OK or CA American Indian tribe map card so specialty or historical fact map cards. Also I have seen pictures of National Park map cards and regional map cards which would be nice.

I have decided I am also going to collect a postcard of each US state capitol building.

♥My 13 year old, Darby, loves horses, frogs, really any animals, littlest pet shop, coins, drawing random things, collector pins (Disney), patches (like places), candy(any thing with sugar, really),Uglydolls, mail addressed to her, camping, outdoors, sports, anime (like chibis), and funky knee socks.Collects nature or wildife postcards, She also loves to read. Some of her favorites are the Twilight Series, and Morganville Vampire Series. Favorite colors are red, black, blue and purple. She plays the flute in band and loves music. She is a Girl Scout and has been since 2nd grade.♥

♥My 2 year old, Liberty, likes pigs, bunnies, birds and dogs (woofwoofs) so far. She has developed a love of helicopters and airplanes as she sees them every day while playing outside at her daycare provider's. She also likes playing with cars and trains. Her favorite color is yellow and she loves pointing out buses and signs that are yellow. Her favorite books right now are Big Red Barn by Margaret Wise Brown and a nonfiction book about penguins.
