Hi! My name is Leslie and I'm 27 years old - for the next little while anyway (eep!) I live in New Mexico with my husband, two dogs and a cat.

My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and it is spreading. Two out of her three doctors don't think she's a candidate for the surgery to remove the cancer. In the meantime she is undergoing chemotherapy. Her cancer cells are currently dormant :D !!!

My book list is scattered. I like sci-fi type stuff (Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Laurell K Hamilton) - The Harry Potter series - Twilight (I'm currently reading New Moon) - I like John Grisham novels too. But then there are things like Wonder Boys, The Virgin Suicides and The Lovely Bones. My husband has tried to get me into the fantasy genre, but it just hasn't stuck but for a few exceptions.

Ahh - another step into Sci-Fi. All time favorite - Firefly. Then there is Stargate SG-1 (and Atlantis) - Battlestar Galactica. I love House and got way too emotionally attached to Six Feet Under. Also - Scrubs can kick a foul mood any day! More recently I'm getting into Heros and Alias :D

My favorite band is Counting Crows - their newest CD has taken the number two spot in my rank of their best. I'm very much a fan of old Tori (Amos). I like Fiona Apple, Lisa Loeb, Dido - as well as Billy Joel, Panic At The Disco, some Fall Out Boy, matchbox twenty, and The Offspring. I also like 80's rock and alternative rock - and I like new country stuff as well! I'm really all over the place :)

Barrettes (My short hair is thankfully growing out and it needs to be tamed !)

Fun buttons (my messenger bag loves to sport them!)

Pens - I can never have too many. Be they fun, funky, or simply nice to write with :)

Chocolate - Dark is my favorite, then milk, then white :D

Please nothing for my pets. I do appreciate the gesture but my cat is diabetic and one of my dogs is on a special diet.
