As my dad always said, I'm a jack of all trades and a master of nothing!
I work for a coroner's office and have really started to delve into darker/medically-related artwork. How can I not with all the influences around me? My job is part CSI, part Dr. G. Medical Examiner, part Trauma: Life in the ER, and part Oprah (and a lot of times, part Jerry Springer....) But I love it! It's always been my dream job.
I love love LOVE to collage! Cut it past it paint it!!I work in art journals, on greeting cards, and canvas. I've started getting more and more into very Michael deMeng - esque assemblages which are so much fun!!
I love to use all sorts of mixed media techniques in a variety of Alice in Wonderland pieces.
I love to explore the darker, macabre, morbid, and just creepier side of things lately. Creatures made up of multiple animals, dismembered bisque dolls, steampunk... the darker deviant arts I guess you could call it.
I've really enjoyed delving into metals, old hardware pieces, little antique dolls, and the unusual. I would absolutely ADORE anyone that could send old vintage medical equipment/advertising/photography/images. I love Anything and EVERYTHING by Tim Holtz
My current search - an antique pair of optical trial lens frames! Plus any old pharmacy equipment, medical equipment, etc.
Alice in wonderland-esque supplies (the darker and creepier the better)
Memory glass frames and glass pieces (a jewelry findings company just started making these for WAAY cheaper!)
Transparencies and transparent images
Tim Holtz Ideaology clock faces, gears, plastic charms, and plastic fragments
Antique medical equipment even Itty bitty medical equipment I can paint or alter (even plastic stuff would work)
Vintage autopsy pics (even if printed from the internet as long as its on high quality paper)
Antique pharmacy labels
Porcelain doll heads/arms/hands/legs
A tiny bird cage
Voodoo related stuff - specially Baron Samadee
Tarot cards
Glazing and crackle mediums (like the ones from Ranger for the 3-D effects)
Mushroom decore - love that 70's stuff :) Or plaster mushroom jars/containers/statuettes I can paint or play with. Anything with mushrooms!!
tiny bisque (white ceramic) dolls
The Graphic 45 Steampunk collection
Anything from the K&Co Que Sera Sera Collection (rub-ons, specialty papers, cardstock, die cuts, stickers, etc)
The types of stickers I like and use the most are ones that I can easily incorporate into collages or just plain funky! :)
Design elements
Stickers on clear backing
Swirls, whorls, abstract shapes
Mushrooms!!
Robots
Butterflies
Anything you might expect in a Tim Burton movie (the odd and unusual)
Biohazard stickers
Vintage stickers from the 80's!!!
I have NO USE for -
Scrapbooking/word stickers
Letter stickers (I have a huge tupperware box of them!)
Pale pinks. It just reminds me of frilly little girl dresses (and the tortures of being forced to wear them as a child). Same goes for anything in a pastel. Yuck!
Cutesy, country kitsch - little girls with bonnets/roosters/buckets of flowers/geese - you know what I mean
Candy wrappers/food wrappers
I don't use buttons. I don't like buttons. Please don't send buttons
Used postage

hey, thanx for joining the 1POSH ART GROUP! I also have a public paining swap going, just look under swaps i am hosting ;-) Blessings, cc
Thank you a million times over for the lovely stickers you sent! Thank you for angeling for the Nifty 150 Stickers swap. And thank you for the postcard and the sweet note. To answer your question, no, the experience with the flaker did not scare me away from swapbot, but it's made me less naive, and more careful for when I host swaps. :) Question for you: are you a lefty? I ask because of your handwriting. I'm a lefty.
I can't remember if I thanked you for the C+P postcards so sorry if this is a double message! I really like the card you made. It's fun to see how you used the supplies. Thanks again!!
I'm glad you got it and liked it! I would love to do a swap with you sometime ... let me know:>
Thank you so much for Angeling the Nifty 150 sticker swap - some of those stickers are just gorgeous! Never seen anything like them. Thanks again!
Hey, I just got the postcard you made from the 'Supply Chain' materials I sent you - It's exactly the type of slghtly creepy, surreal image that I love, and I have it up on my wall now! I do have some little metallic brads that I might use for the screwholes of the escutcheon (what a great word!) - but for now I think I would feel too guilty messing about with someone else's creation!
would you like to do a private swap to unload some of your buttons?
hi did you get your envelope from me for alpha scrap a is for... part1? if you have could you rate me for it, am just trying to make sure it's all in order so part 2 will go without a hitch.
