Comment: Thank you for your lovely letter - I have visited Utah and you are right, it is beautiful. Your job sounds so fulfilling! Those letter stickers you made are too cute (and your return address label) Thank you! :-)
Comment: What a joy reading your letter was for me! At first I didn't think it was going to be personal because it wasn't hand written. What a surprise! You'll be hearing from me!
PS. Nope! I'll probably never stop saying that!
Comment: Catrin thanks for the beautiful notecard and goodies inside a wonderfully decorated envie! I too use a happy planner and just started a bullet journal! This was a great Brighten My Week Notecard!!! Thanks so much!
Comment: Hi Catrin, what a nice surprise. I adore the card, love the Dr. Suess poem, and would be delighted to receive a letter from you. Thanks so much for the personalized labels too. They are so cute and I will definitely put them to good use. Merry Christmas and have a great night.
Comment: Catrin, thank you for the beautiful fall postcard of the Rocky Mountain National Park. I do miss the leaves changing color. Also for having the postcard stamped from there was deserving of more than one heart. Shirley
Comment: Thank you! I enjoyed reading your letter very much! I will try some of the things you suggested. Thank you also for the extras. I can't wait to try the tea and the wrapper will be awesome for a project that I am working on. Have A Happy Day! :)
Comment: Thank you for the tea..I will enjoy it! The last name is German, and I come by it through my husband. We are taking a break from fostering as I have two "impossible-to-place, long-term" fosters at the moment. Maybe some day they will find their own homes, but for now...They fill up my house!
Comment: Hi! The pc is safely recieved and ready to be moved on! LOL! Thanks so much for the extra pc as well - it is awesome! Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks! Enjoyed reading your note. My name was my great great grandfathers name. It is also an old Arabic name meaning small white stone. My husband found that out when he was stationed in Iraq.
Comment: I love the postcard, your note and the great stamps! We have the occasional hummingbird here but not so many that they fight over the sugar water! For us it's the squirrels fighting over the bird feeder instead. ;)
Comment: Thank you for the ATC. It is adorable! Giesbrecht is my married name, so it came from my father-in-laws family who were German/Russian Mennonites who came to North America before WWll. My Mother-in-law is also of German descent (she was a Schilling and is a first generation Canadian) and so my husband retains a love of things German. Our childrens names are Ulrike, Ursula and Ursus! My maiden name is Bilodeau and is from a long line of French Canadians. I have a little German blood from my mothers side and I would love to visit Germany one day. And Georgia!
Comment: I'm so sorry for the delay in rating you i've only just realised i havent done it yet and we've already replied to you haha. Your letter was brilliant, we loved sitting down for a nice big read of your letter over a cuppa. We look forward to staying in touch x
Comment: Being so far away from a craft store is quite a problem for me. I make do with what I have and sometimes my sister sends me things I could use which is great. I'm unable to afford international swaps at the moment but when I can I will message you! Thank you for the profile comment! :)
Comment: That's so cool that you were able to see The Visit!! That's actually the play that made me list him as one of my favorites. It was such an intelligently put-together play. I WISH I could have seen it :) Hopefully someday! I wonder how different the english and german versions of the play are, or if some parts got lost in translation? It's interesting to think about. Thanks for your kind words, I'm really enjoying swap-bot so far! :) Thank you very much!
Comment: Thanks for stopping by my profile. I did visit Germany... Had a lovely time. Saw Frankfurt and Cologne and a few other spots before heading up to Kopenhagen :) I would not like GA much either. Hope you are well
Comment: Thank you for the card. I love land shots like this. I did join the other 14 day swap. I was thinking we would get a post card a day, but it turns out I was last on everyones list as I am getting a lot of happy valentines days on my cards from this swap! Have a great day!!!
Comment: I do really live by the lake (Cayuga) one of theFinger Lakes in upstate NY. We go down 15 steps to get to the lake. We love it here. Yes I have been to the south and will be in Florida this spring. Thanks for the card.
Response: 4. February - You are welcome and thank you, you put a beautiful picture in my head. Enjoy Florida :)
Comment: I loved your letter....just finished reading it.......I will write back to you....but I wanted to let you know the mail arrived...amd on this very grey, gloomy day on what it usally blue and sunshine ---it was a BRIGHT spot indeed!!!!!! Thanks !!! hugs 'n hearts Kathie
Response: Aww, thank you for your kind words, Kathie.
I am so looking forward your letter <3
Comment: Hi! Thanks so much for the lovely pc! It did make me smile! Yes, letting our children spread their wings and fly from us is very tough! That is because we love our kiddos so much! Love the quote on the pc as well - so true! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I'm fascinated about learning how someone from Germany (internationally perceived as being sensible people) adapts to living in the US (perceived, at least in Canada, as being varying degrees of wacky!).
Comment: I received your "extra" package today with the great 3D stickers . I'm sorry that this swap has caused you so much grief. You certainly went above and beyond by sending me an extra package . I'm still hoping the first one comes. Thank you so much for everything.
Comment: Hi Catrin, Thank you for the wonderful Stuttgart PC that you sent to David! At first, he was speechless! Then he was asking me all kinds of questions about whether I got to choose who I swap with etc, because we have been to Germany, he x2 and me x4. Thank you so much for making his day bright! and mine too! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Catrin: Loved everything you sent me. The mail art, then envies, the letter. You really put some time into this swap which is amazing considering you have only one day per week off. Would love to write you a letter back if you don't mind. Let me know ok? Hugs, Susan
Comment: Thank you for the great card! I love the quote on the front. I always love to be partnered with someone from Germany. Especially when they know the "true" Dresden. Such a beautiful city! I would love to visit someday. I have met lots of people from Germany via postcrossing. Another fun site :)
Comment: Thanks for the notecard! I love that the envie is patterned on the inside. I have not done any penpal letter swaps so far because I have no idea what to write in them. What do you write in yours?
Comment: Hi thank you for the nice recipe! It sounds yummy! A couple years ago we had a German exchange student staying in our home. We made something similar to these when she was here! Thank you for sharing!
Comment: thanks for ur letter... guess i ll reply within the next days, prob pretty early :) und dann kannst du antworten, ein paar fragen hattest mir ja gestellt, die beantworte ich mal zuerst und erzähl noch bissle... ich arbiete ja nur part time bisher und hab zeit für meine post :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the nice bird card (I do love it!) and for the nice note, too! Happy to hear swap-bot is helping you connect to others in this vast country of ours. And yes, I do know about postcrossing. I used to send more postcards, but I haven't used it for a couple of years. It's a fun site, though. I actually prefer stationery swaps to postcard swaps but there haven't been many on swap-bot.
