Comment: Thank you for your note in the Postalette. I have embroidery floss because I used to embroider tea towels :) I haven't done that in years! I may have actually gotten rid of it when I moved in 2017? Not sure. ♥
Comment: Three squares! Thanks ... and don't worry about the color, I love all the colors. I just said that so there's an answer if someone needs a little extra help picking one. These colors are awesome!
Comment: Oh, my gosh! The mini cake is the CUTEST little skein of yarn I've ever seen! I've got to go search for more!
I've often thought about trying Tunisian Crochet. Thanks for the square of it.
Response: IKR 🤣 I had no idea what I would do with them when I bought them but they were sooooo cute! 😂 Tunisian is so fun I hope you do try it. I found some cheap hooks on Amazon and never looked back. Toni with TL Yarn Crafts is my fav for Tunisian but there are a lot of great tutorials for it on YouTube
Comment: Thank you so much for my fabulous box of yarn!!! I love it all. The greens are lots of fun and there are plenty of choices, many of which I've never used before. Thank you for taking the time to try and find the perfect yarn for me. I'll enjoy using it all. And now you have Chartreuse in your memory Rolodex 8)
Response: I'm sooooo glad you like it :D and yes, I appreciate learning new things! I hope you make some lovely items.
Comment: I could give you a 100 hearts. The package was absolutely beautiful. I love everything. You are an exceptional crafter. I can only imagine the time taken to crochet all the pretty things. The headband is an absolute favorite. I must say you hit it perfect. The package was a complete blend of everything that I love.
You are amazing!!!!
I will treasure the earings!!
Response: Awwwww, this comment made my day 🥰 I’m so happy you enjoyed your package 😁 I enjoyed stitching up everything so it’s a win win 🤗
Comment: Thank you so much I loved the dishcloths and the time and effort you put into getting it just right. You are doing great! And an additional thank you for the yarn! That was super sweet of you to include that. The color is super pretty and I can’t wait to use it in my next project ♥️
Response: You’re so very welcome! I appreciate the encouragement 😁
Thanks so much for your package. I especially like the tea to try and the heart stationery. I am looking forward to using those. Also, I like crochet and lace such as crafting decorations and lace dresses/tops, but I do not crochet or knit yet.... I do plan to try in the future to see if it is my cuppa tea. Have a good weekend.
Response: Nice, well I hope you do get to try crochet. It’s my favorite hobby. Knit is fun too but it took a little bit longer and a lot more patience to grasp. Happy swapping!
Comment: I never read the author you mentioned! I don't read a book out of order in series. I never seem to catch on who is who. I like the Sister Chick books, but not sure if they are in print anymore. I hope to read more this year. Life is so busy to have quiet time for reading! Thank you for the letter!
Response: You're very welcome, I hope things slow down or you get a chance to steal away quite time.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful Happy Mail!!!
I absolutely loved everything! Especially the the amiibos! They are characters I don’t have yet! Thank you!
To answer your question: some resins do require a special UV light but u can get them rather cheap. For under $10 on amazon. And then there is other resin that does not require anything but time to cure.
Response: Yay!!! I was hoping I picked ones that weren't going to be dupes! 😂 The resin that just requires time will probably be my first choice. I did a bit more research on it and I think I will wait till the boys are older before I try to start expanding my stitching in that arena.
Comment: Thank you for the super fun package. I think I am going to send the "bookmark" to my sister - she'll love it. The little pouch filled with goodies is so nice. Thank you for sending some things from my JAMS. And I love the little extra flowers you made - I think I will make them into earrings. Aloha
Response: Awesomeness! I'm glad you liked your goodies. I really should get some jewelry making tools, those would make excellent earrings. I do so hope your sister likes her bookmark :D
Comment: Thanks for accepting al Houses. We are mixed here, I am a Gryffindor, 1 daughter is a Slytherin (A perfect fit) and the other is a Hufflepuff (A great fit for her as well). I agree that there is not enough time for crafting, I need to fix that.
Comment: Hi Porche! I love your postalette - Cardinals are a favorite, as they always make me think my sweet Mom has come for a visit! Thanksgiving was nice - we FaceTimed with our Son & DIL that live in CO for two hours, felt like 5 minutes - at least to us! LOL! We had the traditional stuff, with me trying to make Smashed Sweet Potatoes but I must have done something wrong, cuz they were more mashed - sigh! LOL! I have take card making classes, a class on using my Cricut, and a few scrapbooking classes - the problem for me, is if I don't keep using the skills, they seem to fade away - getting older and forgetful is not much fun! I do no knit or crochet - I keep saying I want to learn to crochet but I am a hands on learner, so need something to be there to show me and with COVID this year was not the year to have that happen, dang it! Wishing you all the best and please stay safe! Also thank you for joining the swap! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Yay! Those postalettes came in a variety pack, that was a lucky draw on my part lolz. So glad you liked it. Time flies for sure when you're chatting up loved ones. I know the feeling. Mashed sweet potatoes are great so that is still a win in my book. 😂 I wanted a Cricut so bad when I was penpalling more often. However, the price coupled with the potential steep learning curve was quite the deterrent lol 😆 yeah I'm definitely a use it or lose it kinda girl. Awh, I recommend you giving YouTube a try, there are a ton of awesome beginner videos that really simplify both knitting and crochet. You may surprise yourself.
Happy Swapping 😍
Comment: This swap is amazing! I love the two bookmarks you made. Thank you so much for everything, even the adorable dog envie you made to send it in. I love the pencil and I think you did a fantastic job!!! Thank you for the belated birthday wishes, also. I hope you and your loves ones stay safe and healthy. We will get through this. Thanks again!!
Response: Yay 😀 I’m glad you liked it! I always strive to keep mail happy lolz 😂 you all take care as well.😁
Comment: Thank you! You asked what I do with the pretty napkins... I wrap them around letters and then put a wax seal over top. It provides a barrier between the seal and the letter so the wax doesn't soak through the letter.
Response: I love that! 😀 I never thought to put the seal on the actual letter. I’ve always slapped extra postage on it and put it on the envelope.
Comment: OH my goodness! I didn't know what to think, when I received a box full of books. I am not mad. But i wish you could have said something first. As I don't know what to do with them. I have soooo many of my own, that I can't even read right now. I haven't read a book in almost a year. Because of personal family things going on here. But thank you so much. My husband said he will donate them to the Book Fair in July. I hope this won't offend you. Thank you also for the wonderful PC's. I enjoyed going through them. The crocheted bookmarks too.
Response: Oh I’m sorry. I read your profile and saw you liked YA. I thought it would be a nice surprise. Donating is fine. I usually find someone to give my books to as I need shelves for my yarn lolz 😂. Glad you liked you PCs and bookmarks though.
Comment: Hi Posche! Enjoyed your Happy Mail and so excited that you bought some postalettes for future swaps that I host! I hope they did not cost you a ton, as I know sometimes things get inflated, so... My favorite reads are murder and mystery, with maybe a little romance tossed in! LOL! I have not figured out how to download audiobooks on my phone - the CD player in my car isn't working and I am not sure it is worth having fixed - but I sure miss listening to them! My library has something called a playaway which I love listening to but they have been closed for several weeks now - sigh! When a friend of mine moved before all of this happened, she gave me a box and two bags of books, I am going through a few a week and am so thankful to have them!! Thank you also for the postcards - love them! It was funny seeing the one from the Kew Royal Garden, I thought I was purchasing pcs one time from them and got a book instead - I was so bummed but need to pay better attention when I order stuff! LOL! Thanks again for the Happy Mail and I wish you all the best & please stay safe! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Yay! That was a fast turn around and I'm so glad you liked your happy mail! The postalettes weren't too bad with shipping they were under $2 a piece. I will make my own for penpalling tho, I've already sent two out. :D
Our library has been closed as well. However, they may have online services available with your library login. Just try logging in with your library card number. My favorite apps are Libby and Hoopla. Good luck!
Ha! I learned that lesson as well, I thought I was buying floss or embroidery thread from the Wish App but it was sewing thread. :( I'm still mailing it out to my penpals that sew.
Take care! Happy Swapping to you as well!
Comment: Thank you for the card (the dog card is adorable and are going straight into my journal!) Your card was especially nice because I had a rough day today and reading about how you find joy in your family and daily life really touched me. Thank you.
Response: ❤️ You’re so welcome, I’m glad it was helpful 😁
Comment: My sister just recommended a series by Sarah J. Maas. A Court of Thorns and Rose's is the first book (YA series). I just started it, but she's been telling me to read it for ages.
Thank you so much for the note and letter set!
Response: It sounds pretty epic 😁 you’re welcome 😊
Comment: What a lovely surprise. Lovely handmade bookmarks. Thank you so much. My favorite Sci-fi book series is Eric Flint's Ring of Fire books. Fave Comic Sci-fi series is Saga (Vaughan's Paper Girls is a close second). My favorite tv Sci-fi is Straczynski Babalon 5. Yes I love the classic tv sci fi too ... I just like the under dogs.
Response: You’re very welcome 😊 I love a good under dog too 🥰
Comment: Oh WoW! I can't believe you crocheted me 2 book marks!! They are so wonderful!! Thank you for the blueberry tea bag. Where do you buy "Stash" tea? I have been sent tea by Stash a lot of times from Swappers and always wondered where it is found. I enjoyed your heavily decorated envie as well! Thank you for joining my Swap!!
Response: So glad you liked them! I recently bought a bunch from Amazon.com. Stash and Red Rose are my favorite tea brands. Red Rose is on Amazon as well.
Comment: Porche thank you so much for a wonderful note and all of the goodies! I have a sister that lives in the same city as you~ I have not read many Oake books but I do like them and I have not seen any movies made from her books.
Response: Wow, small world, glad you liked the swap 😁 I highly recommend the Love Comes Softly movies and When Calls the Heart show.
Comment: Hi Porche! I love your pc! Llama's are so in right now and I finally have one on a pc! Yeah me! LOL! Oh yes, I so love my library and book club! I will have to look Patricia Briggs up, not sure that I have ever read anything by her - thanks for sharing! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: What a cute HK card! I just made a mega HK pocketletter for a swap - so that was fun to get in the mail the day after! No i havent tried the Kinder Happy hippo, ill look for it though!!! Sounds good.
Response: What a cool coincidence 😂 glad you liked it. I hope you try them sooooo tasty 😋
