I am a 28 year old artist; a gypsy at heart. I graduated from high school early to attend Columbia College Chicago. There I studied photography and earned a BFA with honors in Photography. I have since been working as a commercial photographer, photo stylist and graphic designer.
I love to make things and share them with everyone else!

I play piano and I want to learn the uke too (I bought a little baby blue one at a thrift shop). I like anything that has: piano, harpsichord, strings, orchestra. My Favorite artists right now: The World/Inferno Friendship Society, Amanda Palmer/The Dresden Dolls, Squirrel Nut Zippers
Some of my favorite authors include David Sedaris, Neil Gaiman, Brett Easton Ellis and I have just discovered how truely awesome audio books are!
I am a hardcore horror movie fan but when I am not watching those I prefer documenteries (go figure!)
I mostly crochet and scrapbook/paper crafts but I am learning slowly how to sew, knit and do some minor book bindning. I am open and interested in all crafts.
Pink, Chartruese, Mustard, Teal, Cerulean, I love all colors but I am always drawn to super vibrant colors.
I adore the original Nintendo (I play it every weekend), my Holga camera, Fuji Instax, nail polish, vegan cookbooks, She-Ra, My Little Pony, Vintage Fabric and Wallpapers, bicycles, hearts, Kurt Halsey, journals, Moleskins, makeup (MAC and Urban Decay are favs!), yarn, crochet, cupcakes, wearing glasses, Manic Panic, buttons, Target, sheet music, the horror genre, baking, foxes, handmade stuffed animals, typewriters...
Vintage and Retro cameras, blank or graphed journals, My Little Pony, Gel Pens, Yarn, Crochet Hooks, Instant Film (Like the Instax), Giraffes, Vintage Spools of thread on the Wooden Spool, Mid-Century Modern Anything, Books about Handmade / Indie Culture, 1" buttons/badges, Vintage cabochons, the Nightmare Before Christmas and Tim Burton, Edward Gorey, anything Jem and the Holograms, Betty Page, Owl, Foxes, Makeup, Scrapbooking Supplies, the 1920's, coffee
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME ANYTHING THAT SMELLS OF SMOKE.
While I feel a little awkward posting a whishlist a lot of my swap partners asked for one so here it goes:

Many Greetings, Courtney! I really enjoyed reading your profile, mainly because we share a lot of the same interests, but also because it has a lot of character. You really put yourself into it and your partners can tell a lot about your personality, likes, and dislikes.
I am also a photographer from the Chicago area! I do not have any formal training, however, but I admire that you went to Columbia College! Good for you! What a great school! :)
Have a wonderful June! Cheers, Heather
Hello Courtney! I am your partner from the "Leave A Nice Comment #2" swap. It seems to be that you are a really nice person. For some reason I really like people artists, maybe that is because I love art myself :) Horror movies are awesome and really nice to watch. I wish you luck in learning how to sew, knit and doing minor book bindning. Have a great day, Bruge :)
