Since graduating with my MSW in 2014, I have worked as a Counselor at 2 local community colleges and I LOVE my job. I have found the career of my dreams and I am currently working toward completing extra units in coursework related to working with students with disabilities.
My husband and I also bought our first house last year and I've had so much fun decorating and making it feel like home.
We also have a new kitty--thanks to a friend--we adopted her from the local humane society. Her name is "Moya" but my husband has started calling her "Whiskey" so that's she comes to...she also comes to "kitty," lol. We also have an outside kitty, who we call, "outside kitty..." She wasn't ours but decided to stay with us when we moved in. We aren't sure if the previous owners left her or if she is a neighborhood kitty but she is awesome!
I haven't had much time to craft, or write letters but I still have all of my supplies and continue to collect things I intend to use when I get back in to crating.
I live in the desert and am absolutely in love with it. There is no place that I would rather be...unless I got the chance to go to Australia, but that's another desert!
My husband and I have 2 Bearded Dragons, a Desert Tortoise, a kitty, and a pit bull. These are our children...we love them soooo much!
I love crafting and wish I had more free time. I especially love making collage postcards, cards, Decos, and scrapbooking.
I've also tried a few little sewing projects but I don't really know how to sew :(
Recently I've made a few dessert stands out of thrifted items--they make beautiful gifts :)
Oh! And I usually post photos on my blog and facebook. So check them out if you want to see the sort of stuff you may be receiving.
scrapbooking, collaging, snail mail, hiking, the desert, owls, owls, owls, lizards, flowers, vintage things, thrifting, collecting, reading, libraries, camping, photography, true crime novels, retro things, gift cards, stripes, plaid prints, art, painting my nails, coffee, tea--LOVE CHAI & FRUIT FLAVORS, honey, books, puzzles, school, lists...among many other things!
Oh--and anything with a pattern on it (stripes, floral, etc...)--but I really dislike checkers....please no checkers. I suppose if I received something I didn't really care for I could pass it on though, so no worries! This would never cause a bad rating.
Handmade are always the BEST! But of course I'm happy to receive any sort of postcard ♥
I'm super interested in receiving weird, funky, and different than the norm postcards. Along with handmade postcards, I have mostly tourist-y postcards in my collection. I would like a bit more of a variety.
I love seeing new places, I haven't been out of California too much and have never been out of the country so postcards of fun and funky places are very much appreciated as well.
