My name is Irene, but just about everyone who knows me calls me "Reenie."

I've been married to Brett since February 1999. While I'm not currently working outside the home, I do earn money by posting beauty product reviews on Youtube. Brett's been in the US Navy since 1995 and is often away for months at a time. We bought our first new home in 2005.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved Tigger kitty on December 2, 2009. I miss him every minute of every day. He was my floofy boy and while I know in time I'll be okay, now I'm just a wreck without him.

In June of 2010, we adopted a new kitten, a Bombay kitten we named Baer. He brings new joy and fuzzy love to my life.

I'm incredibly outgoing and friendly. I'm rather obsessive compulsive, and overly organized, almost to a fault. I'm talkative and silly. And I love to laugh, and have a sarcastic sense of humor.

I adore snail mail, pen-palling, swapping cute Asian stationary (San-x, Crux, Kamio, Sanrio, Q-Lia, etc.) and postcards. I love to read, mostly historical fiction (specifically Elizabethan/Tudor), go to movies, play with makeup and tons various other "normal" things. I love faeries and have quite the collection of limited-edition Amy Brown and Paulina Stuckey prints. I'm a self-proclaimed lip gloss addict and have well over 100 glosses. I also collect "collectible" Barbie dolls. AND I LOVE TO SHOP.

I love pretty much all music, with the exception of Country and Rap. Some specific favorites include Imogen Heap, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Elvis, The Corrs, Leona Lewis, Collective Soul, Gwen Stefani, Goldfrapp, Fall Out Boy, Heart, Beach Boys, Mika, Beatles, Def Leppard, Annie Lennox, The Cranberries, Cyndi Lauper, Dixie Chicks, Erasure, Kelly Clarkson, Matchbox Twenty & Rob Thomas, Poison, Britney Spears, Linkin Park, and many others.

I am an avid reader of historical fiction, specifically from the Tudor- and Elizabethan-eras. I also enjoy reading Fantasy and some Science-Fiction. Some favorite authors include Anne Rice, Robin Maxwell, Philippa Gregory, Margaret George, Amy Tan, Anne McCaffrey, Marion Zimmer-Bradley, MaryJanice Davidson, Linda Lay Schuler, and Jean Plaidy.

I am utterly sick of reality TV, but will admit to being addicted to a few shows, like Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen, and Project Runway. I also love watching Family Guy, The Simpsons, Nip/Tuck, Supernatural, Desperate Housewives, and a handful of various re-runs.

I suppose you're no one on Swapbot until you've been flaked on. And more than once. Flakes seem to run especially rampant in the Kawaii Community, and a lot of my flaked swaps involve kawaii.
