I have been retired from Los Angeles County Medical Services for 10 years now. I have a loving husband and two grown children (no grands yet). We live with two spoiled dogs in a quiet little town north of Los Angeles. My hobbies include collecting depression glass, vintage linen, and ephemera for my collage projects. I enjoy reading scripture, making Art Quilts, antiquing (junking), flower gardening, sewing, scrapbooking, drawing Zentangles, sweep-staking, journaling, jigsaw puzzles, and lunching with friends. My son-in-law gave me the Kindle Fire, I enjoy reading too.
My all time favorite movie is "Body Heat". Other favorites include; The Lord of the Rings, Conspiracy Theory, China Town, Under the Tuscan Sun, Hit Man, Dance with Me, True Lies, 3:10 To Yuma, Rear Window, Why Did I Get Married? (1 and 2), Inception, American Gangster, and more. My fav on TV was The X Files and Battle Star Galatica.
I make small lap quilts, bags and purses, and aprons for craft bazzars and gifts. I also make adult bibs, in fun fabrics like sports teams.
My favorite holiday to decorate is "The Day of The Dead". I collect old denim and make aprons, bags, beaded jackets, and skirts. I love fall colors, yellow, brown and orange. Anything I receive from my swap partners is appreciated and used.
Note pads, ephemera, lace and trims, old dress patterns (no need to be perfect), ink pen nibs, pop-corn, chocolate, coffee, tea, hat pins, old silk flowers, faith based items, old post cards, fancy handkerchiefs, handcrafted items (like cards), salt and pepper shakers, depression glass and my husband.
