Mom told me to read the fine print. I missed this totally first time around. Well gonna have to make up for that.
Let's see where to begin. I live in the same town I was born in. In fact never moved out of the county. Hey that's over 60 years. Just a little, but still over.Married for 38 years to Ken. Graduated Indiana State University 11 years ago. Substitute teacher for all grades all subjects. We have 7 kids, 5 homemade and 2 storebought. We're grandparents to Matt and Jillian. We have 1 kid still in college, 3 married, 1 special needs and 1 x-ray tech, 2 teachers, and one looking for job in communications field.I discovered swapping a couple years agol.Great fun, no matter what.
Right now I'm into fingerless gloves with Rowans big wool. I got a request for a pair in a trade and it just took off from there. I've still got 3 pair of socks otn. Last summer I couldn't get enough fabric purses knit to satisfy everyone. I love all colors except dark ones. Old eyes are different than young ones. It's true. I'm there. I really like things that are mindless, so that I can do other things at the same time. I'm not that old after all I guess. 7 years ago I was quilting. Now my yarn stash has taken over. I still have an unbelievable stash of fabric. I'm going to be an instructor at the JOANN's in Terre Haute.
My kids are really great. However I should have had 27 to keep up with my sock knitting.Let's see that would be 58 feet And if they all were married it would be 112 feet and had 2 kids..Well maybe I had better quit while I'm ahead.
The math=Ken and I only count once. Every child becomes a pair, that would be 4 feet.
I LIKE hand made postcards. I really don't care what your disability is. (I have trouble with straight lines!) I will adore and keep your work! I like junking and sharing. I like the featherweights I have.(Singer) I like recycling almost to an extreme some say.
I dislike tobacco odors and black yarn.
We have a beautiful new grandson, Matthew Carleton Whitesell as of 4/10/08 Full head of hair and weighed in at 10 pounds and an ounce. First one!!They're coming home July 1, 2008. We've already been there twice but there's so much family that hasn't seen him. All I can say is that he ought to sleep real well.
I recently hosted my first swap-Quilted Fabric postcard.Fanfare!! I am so proud of the group. Not one no send.Aren't they terrific? I think so.Think I'll do it again. Hey I got on the top 10!! WOW!! Also not A no send in the bunch!!
If you go to my blog you can see a picture of the purse that wasn't that I received from my partner. Not one no send in the whole group! I'm so proud! Now if they would post pics.
The last swap I did Shabby Chic purse had 2 nosends. One of them was so enthused about the swap and then was suspended. Sometimes life happens but I for one would appreciate some warning. Kimh might be out there somewhere but not swapping. Then there is reachmichellee, whatever happened to her I haven't the foggiest, I do however wish them and theirs good health. Oh and watch out for chuckholes. They can throw you.
On the 19th of June, we celebrated 38 years together. Last December our dil #2 decided to take us to Costa Rica!! What a trip!! Hostels for the whole trip!!
We have a grand-DAUGHTER as of June 12!! She weighed in at 8 lbs and an ounce! Dark hair and a peaches and cream complexion.!! Whoa baby! Everyone is fine, now. Great thing is they're in town!! Everyone should be so blest!! Wow, one of each! Have to change my pic!!
